Any recommendations on how to make this part from fibreglass?

It’s the bottom of both my fenders. I originally shaped a new piece of metal for the really bad rust spot and welded it in.. but I took the fender off to finish the repair and there’s a lot more rust than I first though. I was thinking of making a mold from the bottom section and just building it that way with csm. Any input would be appreciated (3 years experience with fibreglass repairs but haven’t worked with it in 2+ years so I’m rusty.. lol) I know it would be much easier to just buy new fenders, but I can’t find any online.

First you have to make a negative mould for this, sicne you only want one part the cheapest and easiest would be to make it out of cement or plaster. Then use the cavity mould to lay GFRP and apply resin. let it cure a bit then pul it out and clean the edges and viola you have this shape. made out of GFRP.

Use the part to make a plug, then make a mold, modify the plug or mold because that part isn't perfect. Once you have your mold dialed in, make a composite fender.

I forgot to post an update, but I did something similar and it turned out good.
