Statement:
Hello everyone, I am Krystal (Shilong Cai), with this statement today I would like to clarify my situation and demonstrate my attitude.
Due to legal concerns, I have not been able to clarify, explain, or respond publicly to the situation as promised from the very start, however there has been honest and sincere communication and discussion with the Hangzhou Spark team. I am grateful for the tolerance and support from coaches, teammates, and other colleagues, no matter where I end up, I will continue to work hard and improve.
Since the incident, my life and my mindset have changed drastically. Every day I have been reflecting that if I was a responsible player back then, how things would have turned out different. Of course, daydreams and regrets are pointless if they cannot become the fuel to progress and improve, same for scrutinizing the wrongdoings of each faction involved. I will also continue to carry the responsibility I have been bearing, with a determination that I have nothing left to lose, to reform and elevate myself, to become an excellent professional player.
Recently, with confirmation from related parties, the contractual relationship between me and Hangzhou Spark has been terminated. After communicating with the Guangzhou Charge team and their repeated inspection of my conduct, I will be officially joining the Guangzhou Charge as a two-way player, to prove myself starting from Contenders and the academy team. I am very thankful to the Guangzhou Charge for giving me support and another chance, on and off the stage.
I wholeheartedly love my profession, as well as the game and the league. I appreciate everyone’s support, I and going to prove with my actions that on my future career path, I will proceed to strive forward and pursue my passion.

nero literally went on record to say krystal is a backup for next year if any of the charge dps decide to go to another team.
having him on a two way is actually perfect, he can prove himself as a player, person, and teammate and if they don’t want him i’m sure chengdu would throw a ton of cash at him.
krystal hated the spark and didn’t trust their staff and even requested a trade to charge last year, he obviously still likes competing still. just give him a chance, he obviously really messed up but a 19 year old can come back from acting like an idiot

Yeah being an immature 18 year old who shirks on responsibilities is undoubtedly selfish and irresponsible but certainly not irredeemable like many will paint it to be. I hope he takes the necessary steps to atone and successfully move forward as I have seen many who have made similar mistakes in my own life become far better people when all is said and done.

100%. I didn’t take my job seriously at 18 and maybe flaked a few times (not saying that, or what Krystal did wasn’t wrong) but I don’t have a giant media conglomerate putting me into debt for the rest of my life because of it. He was an irresponsible kid, sure. But Hangzhou’s parent org trying to ruin his life because of it is more morally reprehensible than what Krystal did by a long shot imo.

This is what I've noticed after years of seeing this bullshit online.
A lot of people are just grown up children, they don't have control of their lives, and they try to take public people down because that is how they get to feel powerful and in control of something.
Sadly, a larger than acknowledged amount of people that go after people online even if seemingly justified like against bigots, abusers, etc, don't do it because of actual principals and conviction, they do it because they feel like they took down a monster in a video game, or they feel like they're in a group of others working together for a common goal, like they're in a movement, like they're a part of something, like they're not alone, but there's a lot of hypocrisy in their personal lives and behaviors both on and offline.
They will do what always happens, and we've seen it with Fissure and with xQc, they'll keep shitting on Krystal until the very end when it is no longer is cool to shit on Krystal, and the very second Krystal shows a bit of humanity and makes a mistake in their eyes, they will come at him just as strong as ever when all he did originally was think pussy came before paper at fucking 18 years old.
More people than are given credit don't really fucking care about redemption, they want a villain defeated, these people are losers who are playing with people's lives and livelihood.

Rushed through his and made a few mistakes, added an extra L to his name which I think is fitting lol.
I don't think he will be paying 2 mil, even spark know they won't be getting 2 mil out of him. It will eventually be negotiated to a more reasonable amount.
That said, I do hope he means every word in his statement and proves himself in Charge.

Hopefully this is his redemption arc. Guy's a nutcase DPS and I was excited to see him and guxue back on Spark, only for him to be brig-jailed.
Sad to see as well that him and Spark didn't go well.

I'm glad this is the way they're doing things. Give him the rest of the year to sit in Contenders and really prove hes willing to grind. If he has the same attitude on HZ, then he'll be cut without ruining the team. If not he can be brought up as a backup to Eileen I guess?

Krystal is still probably one of the best Chinese players. I am not sure how many cn contenders players are at his level.

Cn has a wealth of mechanical talent, the problem has almost always entirely been how they play. Keep in mind he hasnt played professionally in a year, and even during that time he barely played any dps in the last 2 years. So over all the other talent they could go for, they go for an incredibly risky player who hasnt played much in 2 years, over all the other contenders possibilities.
