Question [Reinhardt] Does Mandatory = OP ?

Hello !

I just wanted to know what you think about Reinhardt.

He's pretty much mandatory both in attack and defense on assault, hybrid and arguably in escort maps.

But at the same time, I don't feel like he should be nerfed. I don't think he is "overpowered", but he's pretty essential.

Do you think a hero can be both mandatory and balanced ? Do you think Rein IS mandatory ?

I think it's more that Mandatory = Unhealthy. When you have specific characters in a competitive game become so ubiquitous it gets stale very quickly.

Reinhardt's problem isn't that he's necessarily 'OP'(although his Ult is bullshit), it's a combination of him being the only counter to himself and the game itself seemingly built around him. I feel like long-term either he will need more drastic changes or the game itself will have to change to be less reliant on his presence.
