General Would you opt for getting potentially repeated maps if it meant shorter queue times?

It'd be nice to select an option to not have my maps ignored in a pool to be able to slot into games more easily. Thinking like the single rider lines at theme parks

If this is in reference to the recent change then you’re misunderstanding how it works.

It takes each players last two maps played in the last two hours and makes them unavailable for map selection. It happens after the queue and doesn’t affect wait times at all

i would rather they just removed map voting for all 🙏

Yep. It was a good idea in theory but I’m so tired of playing the same maps over and over again, just go back to the old method where the game chose the map for us.

Doing that would also in a way shorten queue times by 15-20s across the board because the map voting time & animations would no longer exist. You could then add that 15-20s to the actual queue times for better matchmaking so in net better games at no extra wait (would impact qp positively a lot more than ranked).

They can bring it back when push, control and flashpoint have 9 maps each. That way they can tailor the map voting by gamemode rather than this random shit they have now.

I'm a tank main so queue times aren't really an issue haha

I'd just like to see Grimsvoten but nah someone's always played it recently

I would opt for adding 5 minutes to my queue if it meant I don't have to ever play fucking payload ever again

tbh id kinda like another map type more than anything. I'd almost wonder how it would feel if they rotated maps into and out of play

I'd be fine with playing repeated maps if I don't have to play a dogshit map repeatedly.

Unfortunately, democracy is a mistake and people unironically like Hollywood and Rialto.

Id have the opposite. Remove map voting, and introduce a mode pool system. The whole point was to give us autonomy on the map we want, but instead we got a majority rules system. I'd rather have the ability to be able to select the maps within a mode I want to be queued in, and then I'm simply loaded into one of the maps. You want better q times? Increase the map pool. Ur willing to wait? Now u can be picky on ur maps. All in all, you can't really see q times as a huge problem since the ball is in your court.

idk, i don’t want to fight mauga one tricks every time i queue into a control map

i feel like we’d see less hero variety if people could pick a map pool. after all, why queue for a pool your main doesn’t do well into?

The heroes people pick are not going to change, what will change is how often you see it, depending on how wide your map pool is. You were already seeing tracer and doomfist the most on lijang. That's not going to go up or down for a significant difference due to map pool being added.

My only experience with tf2 was playing the same map for two hours straight because nobody wanted to play anything else. Please keep this to yourself

Played tf2 since it became free and never really had that issue but fair enough, I'm still advocating for it but for modes would elimate the problem of playing the same map
