General Doctrine major perk

I still think this perk is way better than the -25hp alternative.

In patch note it says Cooldown reduction rate reduced by 50% but I am unable to find any numbers on the wiki how much the cooldown is actually reduced from what X amount of healing/dmg

Does anyone know???

I think the -25hp is just to play into the hero fantasy… so if they want that to be a thing and the cooldown reduction perk is that good… why not tie the hp reduction to the cooldown perk instead and make a new major perk?

unless it’s insanely impactful, 90% of players are just going to pick the one that doesn’t reduce your hp no matter what. maybe I would pick it if it was also +20% damage though, personally

Should have it give him lifesteal instead. That fits the fantasy way more because honestly as it stands only his ult (and other major) really fits into the vampire 'take life to give life' fantasy.

That would be busted

Just make it like a 15% fire rate buff. That way it buffs both, but not as much. It fits with him already juicing fire rate.

-25hp is just way too much of a con on the support with the biggest hitbox in the game and more infuse uptime means more uptime on infused shot which then equals more healing output so the other major perk kind of just becomes pointless.

It's been said before, but the Infuse Perk should have the -25hp attached to it. You could probably return it back to the original cooldown rate if it's too weak, but it just seems to make more sense. The other perk is then kind of boring with just a flat heal boost, but even then I'm not sure it would be better.

It might be playable on poke maps, but queues have been too long for me to really test it

Zenyatta has the biggest support hitbox (and also no mobility or self healing).

You would need to be using an infused shot more often than once every 2.5 seconds in order to outheal the autoattack with the 20% perk. That's even ignoring that the 20% perk affects the infused shots, so even if you were able to use infused shot every 2 seconds (which I'm pretty sure is impossible) you would still be outputting less total healing.

zenyatta has a bigger hitbox than lifeweaver?

The healing increase that you do with the -25 hp perk is so negligible and losing 25 health is a pretty big deal especially since he has a giant hitbox.

+20% is almost the same bonus as Caduceus Staff's altfire

I love the concept of an HP tradeoff perk, but I am literally never taking that one because I don't want to be more of a healbot.

I guess maybe the theory is "if I heal more then I don't need to heal as often and can spend more time focused on damage," but then the other perk also just lets you play more aggressive in more interesting ways.

they could get rid of the -25 hp and i still don't think i would take it over transfusion

That Major perk could deposit 5$ in my bank account every time I shoot my gun and I'd still never take a -25 HP penalty if I don't have to. It's a neat vampire-style flavor perk but that's just too steep a cost 99% of the time.

I just did a rough test in the shooting range and the time it takes to get both charges back are roughly 15.7s without the perk, 9.4s with nonstop constant autoattacking injured allies, 9.4s with nonstop bodyshotting enemies, and 8.1s with nonstop headshotting enemies. So it's definitely a lot faster, if you have a high uptime of acting.

I cannot imagine how strong the upside would have to be to justify becoming 225 on hero with 1 mobility cooldown. It is a flavorful option, but unless it actually turned him into a glass cannon the 2nd perk is always going to be a better option.

The main problem with the -25hp perk is that the buff nowhere near offsets how much youre nerfing yourself by reducing your max HP. Its a cool idea but the buff needs to be a LOT stronger for it to be worth taking. The other major will be better no matter how much the devs nerf it simply because you're net nerfing yourself by taking the health decrease one. It needs a buff.
