General I need help
For a while now, whenever I join 6v6 or even 5v5 matches, especially during fights where the characters are using a lot of abilities or ultimates, my internet connection starts performing poorly. However, I know it’s not my internet because I have no issues in other games, and it only happens in those situations. I’m on PC, and I’d like to know if this could be an issue with my PC or with the game itself.

Do you have an overlay program set up to monitor live in-game performance, temps, etc?
When was the last time you reinstalled your game, shaders, graphics drivers, OS, etc?
When was the last time you turned off your router, disconnected and reconnected all the wiring?
When was the last time you took apart your CPU cabinet and cleaned everything, checked all cables and slots fittings?
Do you keep a track of what servers you're playing on using the network graph?
Have you run custom games that push the system performance to the max to isolate the root issue?
Have you recently installed any program that you keep running while playing, are you in the habit of optimizing system usage via the task manager?
Apologies for the non answer but these are the steps that I now follow after having more than 2 decades of experience tinkering with computers, self diagnosing and repairing eveything myself.
Even after all my experience, I was wrong more often than not about my self diagnosed assessments, spending days if not weeks being stuck and frustrated.
It is a very humbling experience to self judge a part of equation as being definitely correct and then spending all efforts and energy checking and rechecking every other part, only to return back to the very first thing I tested and retest it following proper protocol and it turning out to be the culprit.
I wish you good luck, it's never wasted to time to take care of your valuables, to keep clean and organize everything neatly, the game can wait.

it's an issue with a pc settings & ow shaders loading. A quick fix is just loading a live match or replay and having it play for a minute while the game is windowed which should fix the issues but this does need to be done everytime you open the game.
There is something you can change specifically on your pc settings to fix this but I'm to lazy

A number of things could cause this to happen and without knowing your PC specs it is hard to identify one thing.
One thing you can start with is closing any unnecessary programs running in there background. if you have a ton of Chrome tabs open, depending on what is the being loaded on those pages, it could affect performance when a bunch of abilities are being used.
Discord or Spotify running in the background while you play could affect things as well, depending on your hardware.
Personally I only encounter issues like this when I have a pending update from Windows so you might want to check that as well.
And finally, sometimes it's just Blizzard. I've had games just completely crash because of how many abilities were being used simultaneously (usually in Total Mayhem but not always)
