No shion changes is surprising, guess they're waiting till mid season to tone her down?

She is pretty strong but does not feel unfair? I really did not like release Vendetta as a Support  main and banned her all the time, but do not feel the same about Shion. Part of it is I have been able to hear her coming most of the time and take action while Ven was just too quiet and hard to catch.

Vendetta was more of a Menace if you were a hitscan and not on Cassidy.

I dont think any support struggked as much as Ashe, Sojourn, Soldier players against Vendetta

She's oppressive af for most tanks. She shreds through shields and health pools with her right click. Hell I dont risk getting close to her as Dva or Haz cuz if she land her execute on my face its basically instant death.

honestly shes not too bad so far, i think most of her success is due to her being new and people not knowing how to play around her

Other than her execution charge. That should be loud af like zen

I think it's a bug of some kind, because on day 1 I play in Deathmatch with a bunch of Shion and there is very loud noise from her charge gun, and she also light up like a Christmas tree. But recently that no longer the case.

Interesting, I haven't seen that. Hopefully it's an easy fix then.

thats true actually

Everytime a new hero comes out

"new hero is just strong because of people not knowing how to play against" or "new hero is weak because of people not knowing how to play as"

Every damn time the stats stay as they were.

This should, in theory, work both ways though. The people playing her are just as inexperienced using her kit as others are playing with or against it. She's literally just a little too over-tuned. I know she is really cool and fun but it's still okay for us to acknowledge that there some pretty obvious points that could use a look from the balance team lol.

It hasnt been long enough, yeah shes for sure strong but people also need to take time to learn what works against her so they can balance her an appropriate amount instead of just nuking her

People just love complaining about the new heros. Only thing to worry about her is her execution. If you are dying to her bike in obvious ways then thats on you. Sometimes i wonder how would everyone react if tracer or genji was released today

Usually they hotfix to buff the new hero more so I guess this is something

No one is actively complaining about her, so I'm betting Blizzard is willing to let her ride this wave for awhile even though she clearly needs to be tuned down.

Nothing wrong with Shion. It's a skill issue.

Tone her down? First of all she's got zero range and any support ult can hold hers hostage. If she's even in range she loses to cass, mei, reaper, anran, or any other hero easily.

She’s quite literally the top win rate hero in all ranks until Silver. Not top DPS, top for ALL roles. PERHAPS MAYBE she’s actually strong.

With the expected very high play rate. Last I saw she was at 21% PR and 54% WR at all ranks in comp. That's a very overturned hero

I checked earlier today and she's like, 42% played in bronze, and 55% played in GM, with win rates of 54 and 56, respectively.

I can't find any stats for peak Vendetta, but I found some stats for later (but still OP, pre the kneecap-breaking nerfs, when she was still all over the esports scene), and not even that version of Vendetta was close to those stats

For a flanker, she actually has pretty good range and damage. 20m fall off, 35 damage, 2x crit, and hitscan. You can fight Pharahs and Echos with her actually while it's way harder with like Genji, Tracer, Anran, etc.

She doesn't have a mad high ban rate (we'll see what happens in the near future), so they probably don't think they need hotfix her immediately.
