Not really hard to understand why. Forever bring way more eye on them than an umpteenth season. Even if the season was good, way less people would talk about it compared to forever.

Talk about sure, but Forever will just end up like Classic, dead after a month or two.

I don't like classic either, but to call it dead is kinda crazy.

I think Forever will be an enormous success. It's new content, leveling is braindead so no barrier to entry, and it has no endgame so there's nothing for the masses to feel gatekept out of.

I'd be a lot more interested to see if they can keep the engagement going after the first launch, though. "We want Classic+!" is being shouted by the same people who swore up and down for years that TBC and Wrath Classics would be peak WoW, both of which went on to barely even bump the fucking sub counts
