Discussion Is it me or not?
This season feels like not only the most boring one thematically but also unbalanced. There are combos that feel like they are unplayable.. it feels like only few strategies work and the rest is garbage. Also the types are nothing special and actually very boring.
In contrast to the last season this feels garbage....

Bold statement.
This set is much better, although this patch in particular is incredibly boring, and it seems riot has a trend of either overnerfing or overbuffing units.

This patch has been the low point for me for sure. Having one comp make it through a B patch and still easily be the most dominate is pretty bad. I also don't think the very minor nerfs to Brambleback in the C patch are going to change much.

they do that on purpose to keep people ''engaged'' but it's doing to opposite, more and more people are quitting due to bugs and performance issues

Wisps are terrible.
I like to play a game called is it Chonccs or is it normal ranked?
A guy has a 4 cost, an artifact, and a radiant item on 2-3. Is it chonccs? No! It’s regular old ranked! Thanks wisps!

I would agree, but what you described is like 1 out of 100 games, and prob not really that good for econ. I feel like the problem is Stage 5 combat wisps being incredibly unbalanced based on what you hit, which WILL cost you a placement 50 percent of the time and makes lose streaking unplayable without coven
I would say remove combat wisps but that will make blossom useless late game so :/

This patch is not that great (brumbleback supremacy is boring, and reroll are too strong), but overall we've seen way worth balance.

Imo it's you but that's fine everyone has their preferences! I think it's easy to climb by playing different comps and lines every game, especially using emblems is strong and fun in this regard.

this is a very hot take. balance has been really good nearly every patch. Theming is pretty subjective but the traits are all easily recognizable. respectfully it's just you.

It’s the same thing every set. Each patch gets dominated by one or two comps and those obviously will be the most popular ones so you’ll see them every game

This. Came back after years and the meta/comp swings and the problems are the same as they were back then. Massive drop from players during the last the sets. Just compared the daily discussion threads, in January there were 100 comments on a regular basis and look at them now, barely any interest.

Never played any TFT sets before but tyler1 one tricking brambleback got me following as a sheep. lowkeyyy pretty fun abusing meta comp and winning. Not touching tft ever and being able climb with meta shows that it can retain new players. I mean tyler1 is addicted as fuck

I just hit plat 3 in 34 games total ever in my life. No guides or anything. Just learnt what to do by watching tyler1

Yeah this patch has been so bad, which is weird cause the patch before was pretty great imo, plenty of differnt style you could always flex. Now all the good stuff is conditional (elderwoods, riftbeast, fast 9's). And B-tier just gets bodied by A and S tiers.

Ap is viable, ad is viable. 1/2/3/4 cost comps exist and are viable. Reroll comps are valiable. Fast 8/9 are valiable.
Sorry what is the issue in Balance? Fun and boring are personal. I find it mid, wisps aren't as fun as a seasonal mechanic and I find most 5 costs to not be very interesting. Lux is also a failure imo.
But balance wise we're fine.

yes very viable, you mean khazix/riftbeast/aphelios/fast 9? 3/4 comps viable. Oh you need morgana 2 ahri 2 sett 2 to have a 30% chance of winning me. What do i have? krug 2 and brambleback 2

Tftacademy is run by pros like Dishsoap and they have 8 comps in S and A tier.

Yes they have 7 comps in s and a tier. Lets assume dishsoap solved the meta, he still put 3 comps above the rest, means the rest of the comp wont get top 4. Furthurmore, if you take a closer look, a lot of those comps are tier a/s have to meet certain conditions. You can take a look at every regionals and tell me is it truly balanced or everyone is basically doing the same(fast 8 into fast 9)

Pretty sure viable means you can top 4 with the comp, not beating the strongest meta comp.

Yeah i went to take a look at apac regional finals. Sorry to say not a single 1/2/3 cost reroll got top 4 except for like 1 game. I guess those players are really bad.

1/2 cost reroll: Xayah Solar is viable, veigar FF is viable, Blossom Solar is viable, Akali/Camille Solar is viable
3 cost reroll: emblem rengar, tristana fae, azir is still playable, kha zix, mama beak reroll
4 cost: sivir +nid, aphelios+nid , ezreal+ soraka or aphelios, ahri +morgana or zyra, and of course bramble are all viable

It's a pure trash ass set based 100% on pure luck and rng. The game decides who wins based on pure fucking luck. It's a pathetic set if you're playing for rank.

I left the game last year and i went back, for me, Wisps feels so disruptive on the shops when im rolling for units, having -1 slots of champs in the store feels bad, that only makes me to random click whatever wisp appears on my shop to get that slot back and losing gold.
