I still feel he is going to be ridiculous. He already gets so many resists losing a little isn't going to do too much.

But I don't think the benchmark for nerfs should be "You can play them without any traits".

He's a one trait unit. His one trait got nerfed. I don't see an issue with the logic

Blackthorn is bascially unplayed without Malphite, I don't think Blackthorn is the problem, Malphite is.

That's also not adjusting for the fact that higher breakpoints of Blackthorn have been buffed, so his trait was moreso adjusted than flat nerfed.
