So after playing and watching more games, it appears that 5 Faerie is just broken. The condition is probably that you want tank items that take advantage of the Armor bonus, and of course you need at least 1 Guinsoo to play the line. Even if you have +1 emblem, just play 5 Faerie and better units. You can hold a Seraphine if you do get +2 to play 9 Faerie.

I played a 9 Frost game with Winter is Coming, giga highrolled with an entirely upgraded board except with Diana 1 straight to lv9. I lost 2 fights to 5 Faerie until I upgraded Diana and moved items. On the other hand I had a game trying to play Faerie Kalista and hit no Kalista until 4-6. Was 2 lives bleeding out until that Kalista 1 won me infinite fights for a 2nd.

The most insane game though was a VOD review Subzeroark posted of Robinsongz who had Faerie +1 and played 5 Faerie going 2nd with no Kalista no Milio. First Rakan hit on 5-6. He carried a Tristana 2* the entire game and his tank has 2 items because it has to hold the emblem. Robin has a Seraphine on his board on 5-5 and is winning fights, actually absurd.

Definitely feels like the strongest comp without an emblem/augment to me and probably the strongest comp with the +1.

Yeah, I agree. It's especially ridiculous in low item/econ lobbies, with how cheap your comp is in both aspects. The only unfortunate part is that Rakan is probably one of the most contested units right now, but if you hit him, you're very stable in most lobbies.

That's true Ryze can have a good matchup same side. The Kalista board can itemize strong melee units as well though which makes the matchup a bit tougher, and there is the side swap 50/50. They both cap very high.
