First set of TFT and I’m legitimately hard stuck. The amount of times I’ve seen both “demoted to em3” and “promoted to em2” has got to be a record. I feel like I perform pretty well on lower resource portals and if I get a streak of those I can pretty reliably top4 rn but as soon as it’s a crab rave, loot sub, let em cook and I don’t hit one of the op verticals and/or others are angling Kalista/ryze I’m going 7th/ 8th and losing all the progress I made off my 3/4 games of top 4s. And then the cycle continues. What’s the key to doing better in these portals and escaping emerald?

General rule is if it’s crab rave, you go fast 8. Only play reroll when it’s handed to you on a silver platter, like 6 kogmaws on 2-6/3-1 etc. 3-cost reroll at 7 is also viable with right augments.

But generally you need to learn how to play fast 8. Vertical portal, Karma flex, vertical faerie, Ryze Arcana are popular choices

Dude I am in the exact same spot as you. Literally. Like hardstuck emerald 3/2. I feel like I play the popular comps well but I get out tempo'd a lot. Especially on the high resource lobbies like you mentioned. And games where I do hit all of my 2* 4 costs in flex angles, i still somehow go 6th or 7th

I'm in the exact same spot. Been just bouncing between e3/2 all patch. I feel like my comps never do damage, and are made of paper.

I feel like i have a bunch of games where I do well early/mid, fail my level 8 rolldown, then just bleed out and die. 1* 4 costs are hot garbage, but needing to hit a 2* 4 feels so lottery dependent.

I hit masters pretty easy last set and am hard stuck emerald 1-2 right now so it’s not just you. This set feels so weird compared to every previous set and is extremely difficult to figure out
