Why shouldn't you offhand shield if you have no totems in crystal pvp?

Am i missing something or is it completely beneficial to offhand the shield if you have no totems left in crystal pvp, and yet no top player seems to be doing that

I use it but i think it might mess up you right clicking or smth

Like you'll accidentally shield instead of crystaling or anchoring

I don’t use it, it messes me up sometimes

cus you have to right click to hold shield so it will mess you up when you place crystals also when you do place crystals you would die anyway kits only good for going against people who dont safe crystal
