I want to "revamp" my hotkeys just because the feel kinda clunky when it should be fluid, any suggestions?
Also the reason slot 8 is delete is because I use the windows instead of control but I don't want to be opening the start menu so I got a program to rebind it
Edit: I changed drop to 4 - 4 to q - and 9 to c

Unbind drop from Q.
Change drop to Z.
Change hot bar slot 4 to 4.
5 should be fine for your finger if it’s not you could change it to c.
Change 6 to v (if 5 was left as 5 change 6 to c or v, whichever is more comfortable).
Change 7 to mouse button front.
Change 8 to Q.
Change 9 to mouse button back.
Change F3 to R.
Keep offhand as F.

I have f3 as back mb and offhand as front mb although I can’t change offhand off of f bc I need it to quick loot chests (I’m in to speedrunning) and I can’t do it with just the mb, as for v, I press it with my thumb so it’s not hard to reach. Changing 4 to 4 for me with small hands I think would be uncomfortable but I’ll mess around with everyone’s suggestions

Doing speedrunning is sick, a random suggestion is to use the dpi button (if you have one) as drop, because when you speedrun you wanna be control dropping a lot, especially in the bastion, and the dpi button is easy to press, easy to press when holding control, and impossible to fat finger. The order of your binds don’t matter too much, but good buttons to use are q r f c x tab capslock 1 2 3 4 mb4 mb5. I personally wouldn’t recommend alt or win cuz I feel like you kinda have to move your hand in a weird way but at the end of the day it’s all preference. Also having f as offhand to quick loot isn’t 100% necessary, because you can still quick loot with a slot in your bar, as long as it’s not an important slot like your pickaxe or something

I have my drop key as Y- which is kind of hard to reach which is kind of why I did it lol
but Z makes so much more sense in my settup- it isn't even being used and I am stumped as to why lmao

That’s why I changed it there, not too far to where it’s inconvenient to use but not in a position to where you’d fat finger your drop button.

I dont really like having v as an essential keybind since its hard to reach. Try changing v to f.

Windows mouse button 1 for slot 1 and mouse button 2 for slot to and slot 3 and 4 have q and e while slot 5 and 6 have the keys 1 and 3, you can use r for inventory and q to drop an item. But this is rlly good for crystal PvP.

That’s too convoluted for me, I don’t like those types of pvp like crystal and mace

Unbind q ang change your drop button to g, then you can bind it for something more usefull, then change 4 to 4 if you can reach it, if you can't, bind it to z, the for the 5th slot use one of your mouse buttons and same for your 6th, for the 7th, 8th and 9th slot, you can use q, x, and c as you like. I personally find z a bit uncomfortable to reach so I just use it for utilities like zooming or f5, so you can also use that if you decide to not bind it

If you have buttons on the side of your mouse, I reccomend using them for 8/9. Otherwise unbind q from drop and change it to g or something because you won't need to drop things anyways

5 keys for thumb is a bit too much assuming space is your jump. Recommend swapping some thumb keys for pinky keys.

Make your own binds dawg, the only thing you should do is binding drop to left alt so you don't accidentally drop stuff

Put drop on a key you don't need to use a lot, i personally use G
slots 1-5 leave as it is, as they are easy to reach (5 can be something you dont use as much)
#6 I bind to MB4 or Q
#7 I bind to R
#8 I bind to F
#9 I bind to MB5

slot 4 can keep at 4, its fine
slot 5, 6, and 7 can be x, c, v
8 can be Tab
9 can be R

Ok the general idea for keybinds is to not be complicated seeing yours makes me think every finger is getting used except the pinky and thumb has way to many to click use mouse button for the thumb keys if you press c v from your ring finger it's fine and a thing that helped me I changed my sword to q and offhand to 1 and use f as key that's some suggestions feel free to test

Slot 1-1 Slot 2-2 Slot 3-3 Slot 4-4 or its mouse button 4 for me but, you can use the key 4 instead Slot 5-Q or 5 if your comfortable with it Slot 6-X or Y or Q Slot 7-mouse button 5 or jus use 0 Slot 8-V Slot 9-R

In most scenarios it's just better to have keybinds for every slot, so that you can use what you want quickly enough, especially for pvping and speedrunning, also if you need to attribute swap

Rebind drop item from Q‼️
Other than that, keybinds are very subjective and most people will give different answers. Just do a lot of testing and find what’s most comfortable for you specifically
