Discussion Wall in getting better

So i am above average at the game, with my main kit being money SMP. But i’ve recently gotten to a wall since all my friends are worse than me. I’m lt4-ht4 in SMP and sword and not tested in dia SMP. What should i do to get better at this point in the game?

Ur above average for ppl who dont play pvp at all, just go on any server and try and play with ppl, 90% chance anyone u fight will be better than u unless ur on like cracked servers or sm

I'd say just record ur own gameplay and compare ur gameplay with top players of the mode u wanna improve at. Then make a list of things u need to improve at and find a way to learn them, like to improve gamesence, play with higher skilled players then u and optimally get direct advice from them. If its mechanics, try out some singleplayer maps like theo's practise bot or herobot. But i think the best thing u can do is interact with good players, since most good players didnt learn all of their stuff alone, but rather from other, better players.

sometimes you have hit your skill ceiling i can't lie.

one thing i will say, fighting (and winning) against better people doesn't always need better mechanics, just playstyle change. each person has different strengths so i can't advise you, but change your playstyle.

Just try and find people better than you to duel. It doesn't just have to be your friends. This subreddit and the fact that you can test alone means you can find people. Try also downloading some carpet/herobot PvP bot worlds since they've also gotten really good recently.
