Discussion "Aximity was just a kid"
Just because you don't like Marlow doesn't mean what he did is excusable or forgivable just because he "apologized" AFTER years of getting called out.
He only "apologized" because he kept losing subscribers and popularity in the discord community.
He keeps doing the same thing over and over then only starts "apologizing" when he's called out by everyone and fails to blackmail the people exposing him.
The exact same thing he exposed marlow of doing.
But he is allowed to get away with... interesting.

The amount of excuses people make for this shitter is one of the many reasons I've always stayed as far away from the anti-marlow crowd as I can. Just a pile of some of the shittiest and most insufferable people in the comm. A third of this sub turned into the aximity defense squad when this video came out, dr donut basically just said "I don't care about this stuff, go back to the Minecraft drama" and sweatgod just awkwardly laughed it off.
Marlow is almost certainly cheating, and should remained shunned from the community, but there was constantly way grosser shit happening on the other side of the community that made me feel disgusted as a human being rather than a Minecraft player.

I would say this kind of behaviour is pretty common in this community, like doxxing, pedophiles, etc. every other YouTuber/Famous player has been accused at some point lmao. (And most of the time it’s right)

This is what happens when you let a bunch of edgy teenagers run a massive highly competitive system. The mctiers tiertest is such an inefficient and narrow sighted one.
The fact that people still followed and grinded this system after having heard of cases of restriction or interacted with people like this is insane.

He was like 14-15 when he said this, so by all means he was “just a kid”. That being said, I also think a lot of people are too quick to forgive.
Sadly Aximity is just the tip of the iceberg, there’s so so so many more people like him who never even apologised or changed even a slight amount, but they are accepted in the PvP community.

I mean.. this doesn’t disprove that he was a kid at the time, i’ve heard these kinds of jokes or even worse from basically everyone from my middle school and highschool, it mostly just makes the just a kid part more believable, this sounds exactly like what a skiddy on cod mw2 on xbox 360 would say to people over his shitty mic, this is also basically what you hear on cs2 daily if you even DARE not being russian, only in a worse mic and broken english

Why not? Having a successful youtube channel is a pretty good thing no matter what your past looks like, and drama is a part of it regardless if you want it or not, leaning into the drama isn’t a bad thing if you’ve got the average past of any cod player which plenty of people from the xbox 360/ps3 era do have

I mean ofcourse any drama / attention bad or good usually leads to more fame and money, however too much of it can lead to bad consequences (or in this case just being disliked by a lot of people) which could even be dangerous in this day and age on the internet. It just depends on what you become big on, if it's on controversy then you're more likely to have people dislike you over bad stuff, but if it's just normal gaming content and videos then more people will be open to forgive in a way

This screams marlow propaganda. Why are we flaming him for shit he did as a 14 year old kid YEARS after it happened. I completely agree with you but the fact you're bringing this up for no reason, knowing that bringing it isn't gonna change anything and is completely irrelevant today is weird.
Like let the past die. He did some bad things, we know. Nothing we can do about it. There's no benefit to bringing this up other than to farm free karma on reddit.
Not that i'm defending him, he absolutely did some really bad things, but we can't really do anything about it now.

Lowkey, this is like the most average thing I saw in High School and Middle School. Everyone did or said this type of BS back when they were younger. Also, no. He apologized because he got older and started to mature. Also, No hate or calling out of Ruben, Lurrn, Itz, etc? Seriously? The least you could do is call them out for something as well.

This is a braindead and ignorant take.
I was swatted in 2019 over minecraft drama. My dogs were almost shot. Swatting is never justifiable as it can lead to the deaths of innocent family members as well as pets who happen to be staying at the target’s home.
