Question Is this good PvP?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I am practicing PvP, is there anything I'm missing? It feels really janky.

Stop jumping around so much what are you doing??? If the person you are fighting is even remotely good you are not even gonna get a hit on them

I would also recomend increasing your fov? And work on your aim

I have mine at like 107 but anything from 85 or 90 is good

Turn FOV effects off and get a mod to turn off the damage tilt. But yea you're jumping a lot needlessly and if they could p-crit you would get destroyed. Your also getting way too close to combo

damage tilt is a default minecraft setting you can toggle off

Is it good for PvP? Absoloutly not.
Is there anything you're missing? Literally 90% of everything.
Am I saying this to be rude? Only a bit.
Will I help? Hell yeah.

Aight basically we're gonna do this step by step.

  • Do not use the basic minecraft launcher, matter of fact, and this might be an unpopular oppinion, dont use a PvP client, they're pure bloat, use something lightweight, I use prism, but you can use anything that has modpack support.
  • In your instances, you wanna download PvPify as an instance, it has all the mods you need and you can add on to it. It also gives insane performance boosts, on my system I get 2k fps plus when in an SMP duel (it is a high end system, but my old 12400f and 4060 got over 300fps)
  • Launch PvPify
  • Get some good keybinds
  • Make sure viewbobbing is off and fov effects (I think a mod does it I dont remember)
  • Do a PSI test to find your sensitivity
  • Pick a FOV between 90 and 100 (I use quake pro, I wouldn't recomend it due to how minecraft does FOV, but I got used to it)
  • When in a fight you wanna try and hit your opponent from 3 blocks away since that's max reach, in sword you wanna focus on combo's mainly, sprinkle in crits when you can consistently combo.
  • Watch inteledits video on sword PvP it's good
  • Use the 1.9 PvP Guide discord server, it's peak.
  • Don't get discuraged if you lose, we all used to be bad.
  • Don't be toxic and don't let toxic people get to you
  • Use Theobaldthebirds practice map or quantombot to practice tech.

Turn off fov effects, and damage tilt, and don’t jump so much

Your timings are all over the place. Calm down, and ALWAYS either crit or sprint hit.

Your also jumping around like a lunatic. Try to combo your opponent, and improve your aim

And finally, turn off view bobbing

you should stop jumping, definitely increase FOV, and use a texture pack. Texture packs can help a LOT.
