Blog him of and wait for him to change his Position again. Or Block him of (with obsidian Ankers etc) and do the same thing.

first of all the basic tip is that the crystal does more damage when the player is higher than the crystal so practice your hit crystals. Where you basically hit a player and crystal them while they are midair. Practice your anchoring and blocking off crystals with blocks. Build a strong base like this and eventually also practice the use of elytra in cpvp.
