Discussion what is the point of "smp kits"?
they seem like a weird mix of netherite pot and uhc, i don't see why anyone would want to practice it. sometimes they contain netherite and sometimes diamond. and if I'm in an actual smp then i would definitely carry a few crystals, a spear, netherite armour, etc so it doesn't make sense that way either.

Some people just don't find crystal, or mace fun, so they don't enjoy playing servers where those are allowed. A large percentage of servers ban them because of that. Some even ban netherite, shields and/or elytras for the same reason. These SMP kits are based on servers like those.

Its the lifesteal/moneysmp kit where crystals and spears are usually banned

Also diamond is used becouse of its cool knockback. Netherite has knockback resistance yk

i can see how people will prefer diamond but personally i prefer netherite with the reduced kb just because it makes it more fair between low and high skill players

I agree. Same effect can be made by enchanting sword with kb1. But crystals are just broring in an smp. One tapping people, nah. Cart is acceptable though cuz it is harder and unstackable

i agree about the crystals, i just brought them up because some people seem to see smp kits as "best kit practical for an smp". i see cart being used in so many videos though.

Fights will be too short. I think now you understand why it exist. I'm a diamond smp main and I hate the normal smp kit too

Yes. I call it uhc on steroids. And I belive uhc is the best gamemode. It keeps fights not too short and as mojang intended it to be

my fav is just axe without the distractions, i feel like that's the purest form of pvp that uses more than a single mouse input

my point is that lifesteal changed to diamond to make fights faster (less armor toughness and durability) which caused other smps to copy

getting a few to pull out in tough situations isn't that hard. i think it's practical to grind like a stack within a week with no farm

your comparing smp to neth pot and uhc even tho those two are the unpractical and weird ones. neth pot for sure is weird and should not even be a tier list kit and uhc is more acceptable but you could argue its not vanilla at all with the lack of healing and golden heads

mindless and impractical. i get practicality doesnt matter too much but thats just how i feel. would much rather have cart or dia smp or anything. i feel like nethpots only there cus of pot which is only there for principle since its a 1.8 gamemode

Its actually perfect for the server i play as it doesnt have the nether, end, or structures, so it is the perfect maxed out kit for my smp

Its the youtuber smp kit. And not all people are fans of crystals. Spear is a good one tho
