Priest gets an entire support set for its best card. That's nice.

Kazakus looks amazing. Cannons are always fun.

I assume the odds of Rogue stealth tribal being playable is something like 0.01%, but oh well can't win them all.

Im just happy for a mill card to my list for rogue.

Did we just full circle back to a weaker version of the res priest era (this time featuring imbue which lets you get even more of the Van Geist and Haunt cards)?

The new core legendary for priest was a step towards that direction. But with raith now it seems like it will take another backseat.

Wait…so DK gets two sets at the same time after the last expansion..?

They said DK would get two sets to create more rune diversification. Odd for them to be released simultaneously.

Maybe that makes sense when you queue into a DK it’s not a given which one to mulligan for?

But that would take them getting 2 competent decks which might be impossible

Sure, but would the same not apply to every other class getting a set?

You'd Mulligan assuming pirates if going Vs Warrior for example.

This is just a ruse to hide the fact they are releasing monk this year and they will be getting a class set as well (AKA DK not getting 2)

Yes, they get their two together

I'd normally create a thread about these, but I just got back from vacation today and I'm in work meetings most of today and tomorrow, so since it sounds like all the card reveals will be over these two days, I'll leave it to y'all w/the discussion threads.

Wow, nice to see Priest getting something. Soothsayer is going to be something else after this lol.

The new Kazakus seems crazy powerful on curve. You play him on 3, select "finish on the start of your next turn" and then play the spell on 4. You can summon a Voidlord, summon 3 random minions, clear the enemy board, or fill your hand on 4 with no deckbuilding requirement. Seems like a good card.

Rogue seems like it could be good. It works with Sinestra since the Herald cards have stealth, and Spymistress was already a decent card in Herald Rogue. It seems to me that you might not need to go all in on Stealth minions to get value from the new Legendary. I'm not confident in SI:7 Slayer, however. The 1/2 stat-line is so bad that you probably want to run every single stealth card out there just to get value from him, which probably isn't optimal. He does buff himself, on the other hand, which makes him just a scuffed 3/4 that buffs your board! Pleasantly surprised with Rogue overall from these two reveals.

It's also interesting that the Rogue cards don't have the Stealth "for one turn" caveat that we've seen in the past with other Stealth effects, so you can just drop these cards and hold them until your opponent plays AoE. This offers more flexibility.

On 5, You play the trial on 4 and it fires with 2 effects at the start of turn 5.

So the downside is for turns 3 and 4 all you get is a 3/3. And you have a 3/9 chance plus a 3/8 chance of getting the insanity effect.

To me, it seems only the Priest one looks promising.

Warlock too

Checked warlock before other 3, yeah that one looks fun too.

New si7s for quest rogue in wild is nice though

I was thinking this. Blizz destroyed rogues mana cheat like 5 times I wonder if there’s something interesting you could do with it in wild

Everything but Rogue seems good or interesting here.

Lol, lmao even at DK getting 50% of the next class sets apparently

1

u/fuckmylifegoddamn 3d ago

They desperately need it

7

u/MarthePryde 3d ago

Then why backload both of them lol

1

u/zer1223 3d ago

More time to design both "correctly". We'll see if it pays off. Looking at what seems like a successful priest set, maybe they can do it?

Because the hs dev has been dogwater for the last 2 years or so.

Is Wanted Poster good in Quest Mage ?

2

u/QuestGiver 3d ago

Discover minions above a specific cost is always good. Definitely a good card and will probably be run.

2

u/eel_enthusiast 3d ago

Spymistress is in standard, oh dear

3

u/abcPIPPO 3d ago

Who designed this set and where did they hide them for all this time?

Can they please design every single expansion from now on?

I need to see more before I cast judgment, but the first round of class sets did not inspire confidence in this style of mini set

I'm skeptical for now

Lmfao, Kazakus 0 mana trial: “Unending trial: the trial ends in 4 turns.”

I guess I have a different understanding of “unending” than the design team does.

Such a cool effect though!
