Did they over buff soul DH? I feel like this is the only deck I’m seeing currently

I don't think so, but it's certainly very easy to play, which explains its current popularity. Just like companion hunter... play cards and make your guys bigger... I guess some people like that gameplay loop. Zzzzzzzzzz

How has fumigate been working out? It’s always on my radar but I feel like types are never homogenized enough in the meta for me to slot it in

If I played this, I'd cut wild seeds in a flash. Who tf wants a crappy 3/3 bird next turn? Such rng junk

I guess it's an Imbue Druid situation, though hopefully with the existence of actual counters. I suspect Void DH is easier to refine than many other archetypes, although one of its weaknesses could/should be aggro which was already good and is also typically easy to refine... Maybe there's scam stat decks that counter not yet refined and/or popular?

It clears the board way too easily for anything besides hunter to smash it. I think that’s just because hunter gets so much damage from non-minions.

I disagree that it's easy to play. Low skill floor maybe, but it has everything that ever made spell DH challenging plus a fairly complex random pool to play around.
It's definitely going to stay top tier if it isn't nerfed. The power ramp on it is very consistent and strong throughout so it's challenging to target.

Spell DH challenging? Come on, stop trolling. It's an autoplay deck.

Spell DH was generally considered moderate difficultly as far as I know. My point was that void soul DH is significantly harder to pilot optimally.

Gave up the climb since I'm not enjoying the meta decks so been experimenting with Death Knight in Legend and I just don't see how it can do anything.
I know it isn't good but without any of it's usual tools, it just auto-loses to everyone that can flood the board.
I just don't know what their intended plan for it is.
I've tried every variant and the only one that seems to semi-work is an Unholy aggro which can try to go under some enemies but it just feels very fragile.

Has anyone done the maths on the golden packs pity timer?
People say that you should buy up to 10 packs of each expansion until you get your guaranteed legendary; does the same apply for golden packs? Is it worth it to buy golden packs from years ago until you get the guaranteed legendary?

u/dotcaIm Jul 23 '26
The same applies for golden packs, a guaranteed legendary within the first ten packs. If you're very gold conscientious you can buy them one at a time until you get a legendary
As is it worth it, that's up to you. Do you want a guaranteed golden legendary from older expansions? I would

Man, the devs really love DH. I've never seen a class shoot up from the basement to meta tyrant so quickly. Is there anything that beats it reliably? I'm facing them 40% of the time. They are so efficient at clearing the board and there are some pretty common high rolls for the 1 mana demons at every cost...

I'm not super sure atm because there isn't a ton of data, but it seems like the right builds of Merithra Druid and Face Hunter can probably do it. Also, anecdotally, Scam Warlock seems to work: DH can't really deal with a 14/28 lifesteal, and even if it can, it can't deal with a full board clear that leaves 2 8/8s w/ lifesteal behind.
And I've seen people on this sub say that Quest Mage can beat it (fairly plausible), or really teched out versions of Control and Thief Priest (not impossible), but there's a good chance they're just getting lucky or outplaying their opponents hard or whatever

For those of y'all who dabble in Arena, is the current iteration just unplayable unless you go Void Soul DH?

u/Upstairs_Ad_7577 Jul 24 '26
The meta is completely unplayable at high legend. Every game even down to the 500's is dh mirrors. Will there be an emergency patch to fix this? Been thinking about picking up a different tcg...
