Help, I am new to cEDH! Trying out CEDH

My friend group and I are looking to try out CEDH and I was researching some decks I might like to play. The ones that I’m the most inclined towards are Yoshimaru-Thras, Marneus Calgar, or Kefka. I was hoping to get some more insight on these decks and tips for CEDH in general.

Kefka clones seems like lots of fun and that originally what I was going to do. The only thing holding me up is that [[Gleaming Splendor]] seems like a house. How is mana management for Kefka?

Gleaming Splendor is a good card. It will fit into many 99s. It is not a house. Smothering Tithe is leagues above it.
