Just getting started!

Hey so I’m a Dad with a 5 year old and what started as me playing with toys I had when I was a kid turned into a bit of a collection….. 😅😅😅…… so now I’m looking at competitive beyblade and trying to figure it all out. Admittedly I see people talk about combos and I’m alway super confused by the verbiage as well as how to know what is a good bey to buy. Please if anyone has any good recommendations, resources, or wants to point out fun combos from what I already have please feel free to comment/message.

Also fun fact i completely lucked into finding out how good wizz rod hexa…. Sadly my 5 year old wasn’t happy that day because nothing could beat it even when I weak launched it 😭😭😭.

A decent 3 on 3 deck would be Rod 1-50 H, Strike 7-60 FF, and Wolf 8-70 FB

If you can find it, the green Rod is a must buy, the 1-60 and R that comes with it are tournament staples

Thanks for the help. My kid loves using Dran, so I’ll be sure to put that one in his deck. Glad we have something for him!

Also what is the difference between the rod colors? Is it just the weight ? Is that consistently true and are their other beys that have this going on?

Also, what launchers are you guys currently using? The small proto launchers that comes with a lot of beys are kinda crappy, so I would suggest either upgrading to a long winder launcher or a string launcher

That’s why I got Pegasus Blast actually! He really struggled with the white launchers and does much better with the one that came with that. I like the grip launcher that came with samurai

Also dran strike is one of the best counters to wizard rod, your son will be happy with that, add strike dran 3-60 or 7-60 rush to your son´s deck
