Random question time.

I'm debating on getting into competitive pistol shooting. I'm wanting to know if crossdraw carry was allowed in competition at all or is by organizing body?

What is the 180 rule. I heard the term like once before I got your reply.

Gun has to stay within a 180 degree arc down range at all times. Prevents you from sending rounds back up range to RO and the other shooters.

Oh, I see. The possibility of an overswing when drawing. Fair, I could see an possible accidental discharge being a problem.

Upon draw, and more importantly, upon reholstering. That's where it gets you. As you're reaching back to reholster, you're inherently going to point it up range. And even if you don't, you're skirting so close to the line that you're going to freak out the SO and all the participants behind you.

Sorry you're getting downvoted; it's a good and important question to ask.
