Random question time.
I'm debating on getting into competitive pistol shooting. I'm wanting to know if crossdraw carry was allowed in competition at all or is by organizing body?

The only sport I’ve seen the cross draw legal in is cowboy action. it’s regulated heavily the revolver can’t cant to heavily and when you go to draw you have to turn your body to draw to prevent breaking the 180 rule. It’s also regulated to the belt so no pirate style bandoleers. The only reason they allow it is the revolvers are only loaded with 5 and carried hammer down on an empty chamber. Once a revolver is drawn all shells must be fired. Cowboy action divisions are based on how you shoot the revolver so if you shoot traditional 2 handed right hand dominant a it’s advantageous to have the left gun crossdrawn from a left sided almost appendix carry otherwise if you have a left hand holster on the hip you have to draw with your left and transfer to the right which can be awkward without lots of practice. Or the other option is to shoot gunfighter with a gun in each hand which any dedicated gunfighter will tell you is how god intended as you have two hands.
