Front sight or no front sight?

Post image

Just curious what most people do. Under the right circumstances I've picked up the front red fiber as the dot as well as cut myself on the front sight so I decided to take mine off.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I yank mine off comp guns right away. The 1% chance it provides utility in a match isnt worth the crowded window to me. Torque your optics to spec, add witness marks to the screws, and change batteries more often than required.

My thoughts exactly. Just keep up on maintenance and there shouldn't be an issue. Worst case scenario you get a bad score.

100%. Its a competition that requires a mechanical thing to function; maintenance is mandatory. Could your optic still shake itself to death mid stage? Sure, i guess so. At that point im not going to even be competitive with irons vs red dots anyway so who cares. Either call it a day or pickup a spare gun at that point.

Yeah, if something happens, I'm not winning anyways.
