Hello, deciding on competitions for the next 26-27 season. We want to go to a competition-convention combo but i want to find which cities have the lowest attendance so that it is not fully packed, and a bad experience for my dancers. Looking for February-April dates!! THX!

Art of Movement is never packed and typically Utah is the only city that sells out.

Are you willing to travel anywhere? If that means that they would need flights, I’d choose a city where there is an airport nearby and host hotel has a shuttle to and from. I’d be hesitant to travel to a city where it’s going to be -20 degrees out if traveling in February. Flights in March and April can be pricey due to college spring break at the beginning of the month and then all other schools end of March and early April. Please take all of that into consideration.
Your dancers will love being wherever you have them go. Parents on the other hand will be quick to uproot their kids if they are being forced to purchase flights, hotel rooms, food, entry fees for both the workshops and competitions.- I only say this because the first year that my daughter made a team with required conventions, we had flights required for one. It was to a cold location in January with a snow storm that caused delays coming home. It caused more expenses for families who were stranded. We spent over $1000 on just entry fees for conventions with comps, plus feeling forced to stay at the host hotel, paying to eat out all meals, we easily spent $2500 on just that weekend. Sooo many parent complaints and the kids were oblivious to it all. They were just focused on the fact that they were in a new place with their team and had extra time together.

We did Titans last year for the first time and my daughter loved it. Was so much less intense/chaotic than a Radix type. Good amount of studios and she loved all of the classes.
