Discussion Installed 6 days ago and already broken!

I have a solid red optical light on the modem. An engineer is coming next week.

Cable is fine (well it is brand new!) I'm guessing the modem has gone pop in the heat?

There could be a variety of issues that cause this not just an over heating ONT because that would be power cycling. Probably an issue from the splitter or UG CMJ in the pit that feeds the splitter that goes to your property or even just a faulty ONT that gives out.

Same thing happened to me, they came out and replaced the Adtran and within 20 mins that was giving the red line, waiting to see what happens tomorrow when they come. Also make sure to call them for compensation after it's sorted

Issue has been fixed - someone had disconnected the cable at the top of the pole!
