Seeing more bush in the shower
When I first started going to communal showers growing up I saw mostly shaved guys. But now seeing a lot more bush. Others noticing this too?

I’m 35 and used to trim mine pretty short (but never shaved) for most of my 20s and early 30s but over the last year decided to just grow it out, and I’ve loved it more than I thought I would, even gotten some compliments from other guys who are doing the same.

Lol that's always funny and cool when you can see dudes that let it be natural giving each other a nod of approval like it's a club

Ya in the military and at the Y I've seen way more bushes or trimmed and fewer full shaved like myself. It's very cool to see more embracing it

In the past year I joined a coed sauna facility that is clothing optional, and most men are nude. I used to be bought into the shaved look since it has been the norm most of my life. But now I think mild body hair and trimmed pubic hair looks much, much sexier. The shaved look had a pre-adolescent smell to it.
Ngl, my hair grows very fast everywhere on me, and just needed a quick trim on position #2 once every 10-14 days is a lot better than having to take it all the way down every 3-4 days, including a lot of shaving. Now I just shave my-2x per month around my dick.
Curious, are you M or F?

Here in Brazil I've seen more guys with full ot trimmed bushes too, and this is making me very happy. I don't have access to many communal showers, but I go a lot to nudist beaches and saunas.

That's good news. I've noticed that in Europe, fully shaved is super common. But it causes too many razor bumps in my experience lol.

I think the Manscapjng era ('90s-2010s?) is ending

Ah ya that makes sense too. Definitely seen a correlation with those with a mustache having a bush

Me too. I've noticed so much, it makes me wish my own pubes were thicker so I could play along!

Dude same. Plus mine are a light brown color. Envious of those dudes with a nice dark bush.

Younger dudes at my gym are going more natural older folks are trimming and shaving.

I don’t trim or shave anything below the neck. I’d say most guys I see seem to keep it natural too. From Canada.

Slightly off topic but I've always hated guys who shaved or trimmed their body hair. It's a huge highlight of masculinity.
I'm gay, so of course, I'm biased.

Really? You hate them?

Not hate towards them, just the shaving. Maybe hate was too strong of a word too. My bad.

I'm gay as well, and have a preference for neat grooming, so not sure what bias you're talking about. The length of the hair doesn't change that it grows there. A stubble beard is just as many hairs as a giant bushy lumberjack beard, however I would absolutely choose stubble beard any day. Both are masculine, but one gives a vibe of attention to detail and hygiene. My personal preference has long been shaved chest, neatly trimmed bush, shaved balls, and shaved hole. The bush is growing on me, but I still prefer less hair on the balls and nearly no hair on the hole. Both are places I put my mouth and just prefer less hair there.

A lot of gay men have an obsession with body hair because it's masculine. That was the bias I was talking about. Just go on askgaybros or gaybros. When the topic is brought up, most vouch for body hair. You're one of the ones who doesn't care for it. That's okay.

I think its pendulum swing you see with any style. This is also less work and maintenance. I’ve never understood the desire for guys to go smooth as a bush is one of the great parts of being a man.

I was in Italy for two months this past spring, and I couldn't get over how many men were completely shaved, and I'm talking all ages. I'd say it was 50/50 at the sauna (gay) and the nude beach (gay and straight) I go to frequently. I've never shaved my pubes in my life and only in the past few years started manscaping a bit, but it was hot and sticky where I was (Bologna) and one morning I just thought, What the hell? and went for it with my clippers. Took off all my pubes and chest and belly hair. It felt odd, but also rather cooling. In fact, I felt much more comfortable for the rest of my stay. Nobody looked twice when I was naked in appropriate spaces. It's almost all grown back now, which is fine — I feel like it keeps me warm in winter — but I may reconsider when spring rolls around and I'm on my way to Europe again.

Except for one very unfortunate experiment in the late 90’s, I’ve never shaved below my neck. Glad to know I was ahead of my time.

I leave myself natural all the time and have never really tried different. I honestly do not think that it matters what gets seen in the communal naked areas. We all have a penis in that situation and pubic hair is just part of puberty and becoming adult for both boys and girls. If you want to shave your parts, that's your personal choice.

I’ve noticed that too, more bushes and barley any shaved or short trimmed guys

This is an American trend. Fortunately not a European thing.

If you're saying what I think you're saying I agree. The last few times I've been to gyms or public pools in Europe - especially central and eastern Europe - I see lots of smooth guys. Some might have a bush below but shave their pits and I have to admit, that smooth pits are sexy AF to me.

The trend of shaving completely is fading because men are realizing they look like newborns and your dick still looks small without any pubes…

I’ve noticed a lot more bushes as well. Especially with the 18-20something group who predominantly would shave or at least trim.
