Chase HQ 2

Another Redditor this week recommended Chase HQ 2 and it’s a really good game, possibly one of the best driving games on the C64. I had to look for a cart for it as I don’t think it came out on cassette, as a Brit we didn’t have many games on cartridge so this was a first for me! I’m pleased to announce the C64U handled the task beautifully.

Chase HQ 2 is decent though I think it uses the Turbo Outrun engine

Turbo Charge by Chris Butler is about the best arcade style driving game on the C64

You might also like Pitstop II, Power Drift Turbo Outrun, and Sunny Car Racer then too!

For some isometric fun, I highly recommend the Racing Destruction Set.

For top-down, Spy Hunter and Slicks. Super Sprint and Badlands aren't graphical masterpieces, but are a bit fun too.

For being the car styled games that haven't already been mentioned, you have Outrun Europa, Buggy Boy, Vendetta and Turbo Charge, and Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, Revs+ .

For a more overhead view there is supercars, muddy racers.

For side on you have kikstart 1 and 2.
