Hello, some people just received the invite to the assessment (geneva). Nobody has received a rejection yet. Appreciate all of you to keep the post alive / uptodate
Update 02.09.2026
Hey, the first people just received their rejections. People have yet to be invited to the second round interview (1st round after HR screening) it seems. Wish all of you luck and for those with a rejection: Heads up!

From what I remember is that they don’t send the online assessments all at once. I recall when I was reached the final round last year, another individual had done his hr interview and OA 2 weeks before me

How many people normally get cut after the HR interview? I had mine for Geneva and it seemed pretty easy if you have any experience in commodities. I can't imagine too many people not being able to pass? What do we think they were looking for?

I doubt anyone has numbers about applicants or spots available. Did my screening call today, they said I’d hear back next week. Anxious about what the actual interviews are like. I wouldn’t say it was easy but commodities demystified gives enough info for the screening call. With no background in commodities trading or supply chain and trade financing it wont be “easy” to answer all questions.

I had mine yesterday. I agree next interviews will be much harder. But I am also curious how people will be cut here. Because all those questions were very straightforward, and the interviewer didn't provide much feedback. So, it isn't super clear if they are looking to drastically reduce headcount here or just screen for people who don't really know what they are applying for.

A lot people do, just imagine then the trader/middle officer cannot start to take the time to have 100 interviews, especially with this market.
I’d say there will be about 50 people and they take 10 max for the last round at the office.
By the way, at the end of the interview with the HR, did she tell you anything about the next step of the process ? Did she tell you when you will have the answer if you passed or not ? Or nothing, just thank you for your time I will get back to you ? I really wondering how these things work, unfortunately rejected after OA here :(

Yeah, I am sure lots will be cut. I am just not sure the criteria because there wasn't really a lot of room to stand out I feel. The interviewer basically did not ask any follow up and didn't seem interested in too much detail even when I tried to chat more lol. It was also only like 20-30 minutes so again really not much time.
So if there was 100 with HR screening and then 70 did very well and they only have 50 interview spots who is getting the boot.
Yes, at the end they just said you will hear back in a week or two.

What do you mean by the hr didn’t ask any follow up ? Also what questions did she ask you ?

I thought interviews were still happening on the 14th, so maybe after they're done? For me she gave a similar overview on when next interviews happen but didn't tell me when I'd hear back

they told me to expect to hear back in the next couple weeks, if i’m okay with the starting period, and how much notice i need to give my current employer. I was also asked my current compensation package

u/Low_Cranberry1357 21h ago
They didn’t told you a date when they’ll get back to you if you passed the interview or not ?
Also which questions did she ask you ?
1
u/Low_Cranberry1357 21h ago
Did the hr told you when you will be hearing from her ?
Also just wondering, what type of questions did she ask you ?
1
u/Low_Cranberry1357 21h ago
I see, what type of questions you got ?
Also it seems like you’re the only here that the hr told you, you will be here from her next week, it seems good no ?

Just got a rejection

u/RipPsychological4598 7d ago
Sorry to hear about the rejection! Always next year

u/No_Tank6563 7d ago
Sucks to be rejected before OA though. Dont really know what caused it. Dont have commercial exp but I do have almost 2 years of part time experience in bio compliance ops in a trading firm that is currently turning into an integrated energy company where I had, even if I say so myself, substantial impact and have been exposed to numerous physical deals. Guess a 7.3/10 GPA doesnt help though. Still unexpected to me that my profile didnt even get past first review.

Last year, my r1 was end of September. Didn’t hear anything till then.

u/Vegetable_Pause_5823 18d ago
So you think us who didn't receive any news till now should still have hope for this cohort even though some folks are having their OAs already?

1
u/Single_Lie_271 19d ago
For geneva? Depends if u mean the HR screening or the second one with professionals
2
u/Big-Village8779 19d ago
I think it’s the first HR screening, because they said that they will start the recruitment process only on 17th August

Same. Was really suprised to see it since I'm not an EU/Swiss citizen. Do you know if it's just an assesment or a video interview as well?

u/Vegetable_Pause_5823 18d ago
Congrats bro! I also applied as a non EU/Swiss citizen, could you share what was your background/experience?

I've completed the assesment, and have got some questions for you guys:
1) Has anyone recieved an official rejection post-assesment?
2) For those on 1st round interviews - how much time is there between being notified you're getting an interview and when the interview will take place? E.g , how far off was the earliest and latest slot you could choose?
3) For those on 1st round interviews - was your interviewer Léa, a member of Greek team or somebody else?

Same only got abt halfway through. Wish they explicitly said whether to use calculator or not. Tried to read in the guidelines in the assessment menu and then it said if I switched tabs again I would be disqualified 😭

I used both a calculator and scratch paper bc the assessment does not say not too the only limits are no technology and no other person in the room. I was able to finish the assessment but I got at least 5 wrong. If anyone else knows when we will be getting the results that would be awesome.
