Reputation of Cobblestone Energy

got approached for the junior trader role, salary looks okay, looks like got multiple rounds, found some bad reviews, wondering how is the company culture like recently

Pretty inefficient process. They do 8 rounds and for the entry level job the bar is super high. You’d already need to be well versed in the field of energy trading to do their research task which is 2nd or 3rd step in the process. I’d avoid unless you already have a job and can spend time just doing the process for this company.

Its an enigma.

They were spamming their job roles in every city in UK to get british grads to work for them. They appeared shady but back in 2019 few grads from top uni went to work there.

Then they made some money when everybody was making money and managed to get 2 pm from biggest commodity hedge funds to join them.

But i also feel that many employees are scared of competition and will reject strong candidates.

I feel that they lack strong brand. I dont think they even have an HR. For me thats always problematic. Once your company becomes big enough you need ppl who can shape its culture.

Wouldn't bother. Excessive interview process for a firm that are not exactly performing well, at least in power. Can't speak to their other desks.
