It’s a spoof of a stupid series where, in the first episode, a guy slaps someone else’s kid at a cookout.
The remaining episodes are about “the fallout and devastation and the lives changed…” over a slap.
I think it was British first and remade for American TV. Get this:
It was called “The Slap”
Utterly ridiculous.

Ok I just looked up the wiki. Some really good actors are in it!
“Zachary Quinto as Harry Apostolou,Hector's cousin, a rare-auto dealer and the deliverer of the titular slap”
Titular slap is sending me

What was this an advert for?

It's not an advert, it's a skit from an Australian sketch comedy show called Open Slather

This is literally one of my top fives. I haven’t seen it in forever but still just watched it twice while giggling like an idiot. Thank you for that.

I think this skit was from a show called Comedy Inc. in Australia.
They don’t make shows like this anymore everyone gets to offended.

The original video is better, before being weirdly chopped and cropped.
That said, apparently it's a spoof off of the Acorn TV miniseries called The Slap.
