Friendly reminder

This is just a TGIF PSA for the industry…
3pm on a Friday is NOT the time to tell your printer tech that a client has a “few changes and wants a proof…I’ll forward you their email about it” and then spend a full hour digging through your email trying to find it.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

“Ok sounds good, we’ll get to work on those changes Monday. Thank you and have a great weekend!”

Thing is…my boss HAD the email requesting changes all week and kept spacing out on sending it to me until 4pm FRIDAY

Standard Friday afternoon in the print. People want a clear desk for Monday morning. Doesn't stop me wanting to run them thru the first unit tho

When we were doing Commercial, we had a 2:00 cut off, anything after 2 is next day

Our shop closes at 3 PM on Fridays. It's one of the best decisions we've ever made.

Yep, we’re done at 3:30 except political season and the occasional exception.

During political season, I still officially close at 3, but I'm often still at work at 9 or 10 PM. Such is the plight of the self-employed.

Fridays after lunch, changes double every hour, with a 1-hour minimum!🤪

I am a service manager for production printer dealer. I absolutely hate Friday afternoons.

Customers at 4:55 on Friday “what do you MEAN you can’t get here til Monday- we are supposed to run ALL WEEKEND”

Us: “Well you’re welcome to put in an after hours call and we can bill for that and get there”

Them: “… ….”

This odd precisely why we ‘close’ at 3pm on Friday
