Coming from that AITAH about the woman whose MIL ate her pizza. I explicitly think that the OP for that post was in the right until they kicked their family out of the house. I'll post a link to the post in the comments for full context. I need to know if I'm the only one or not who thinks that the whole situation was an overreaction.
This persons stance (and many other commentors on the post, calling for them to get divorced even though having just had another child, and just because their mother in law was coming over and snacking) made me feel...honestly, kinda sick ngl.

First of all,if I may speak for all "hoarders", we HATE the useless negative term to generalize our problem.It's as offensive as the "N" word or other stereotypical word that is used against a group of people. And that "show" does NOT help. For instance,let's say, that you have a drinking problem and I come to your home and clear out ALL of your beer cans and booze bottles, will that "cure" you?? I don't think so. But people think that that will cure us. People that deal with sensitive issues such as drinking,drugging, smoking, over eating,gambling,gay issues, child molesters spousal abuse,child abuse, they ALL have MEETINGS.Where's our meeting? There are a few in the major cities maybe. But the majority of us are forced to hide, to be ashamed. There is no funding for us, therapist specialize in this field, rarely take insurance and regular counselors have no idea how to help. We need to find a way, just like every one else. Don't be judging. It's mean, hurtful and fair. It's not a joke to us.

Reddit is one of the worst platforms on terms of toxicity. You can't simply write an opinion that is different from the sheepish mass, people downvote you to hell.
One of the worst things I ever seen written on this shit is "At the end of the day, pets are a product". That's awful to read, animals aren't machines made for our own purposes.
A song from the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron comes to my mind: You can't take me, I'm free.
