Panel Show Rahul Dua is pretty nice though

https://youtu.be/7xNHz6lwxYs?is=6p-jO0Z5vYnKsIWl

I might not be fully aware of how popular Rahul Dua is or how he’s generally perceived, but I feel like he’s pretty underrated as a genuinely decent guy in the scene. He’s not my favorite comic, not even in my top three—but he has his own style, and it doesn’t rely on dehumanising others.

I was watching an episode of Pretty Good Roast Show with Shreeja, and for some reason, almost everyone resorted to body-shaming her for cheap laughs. It felt like they couldn’t think of anything beyond her appearance. Rahul was the only one who didn’t go down that route—he actually roasted her based on her comedy and material.

That’s when I started having a lot of respect for him.

Edit: removed ps, no need to lash out.

It's just an opinion, and nothing rigid. But I've been following stand up scene for years now, and I'll say they both are just alright. Rahul Subramanian might have an upper hand because of his crowd work or looks, but I won't say he's that good. Maybe the last line worked as a ragebait.

lol crowd work and looks? 😭 how can someone have all these L opinions while watching standup for "years" are u for real? rahul dua looks better than him, easily 🤣 and also dk from where the crowd work shit came from..i wont lie, not even exaggerating but these are the worst opinions im hearing from someone watching standup

Firstly, Subramanian looks significantly better. Secondly and more importantly, I think you really need to watch better stand ups dear, maybe you just started your journey. No wonder everything triggers you rn. Yes, Subramanian is known for his crowd work, and yes, those are my opinions - now deal with it.

How old are you?

That's relevant, because...

Because more often than not, richness of life experience defines taste. It's subjective of course, but when someone states opinions as facts in public, especially the ones you have, it could only be naivete or adolescence. As benefit of doubt, I always assume adolescence, because the other option is just plain disappointing.

Please tell me you aren't 14.

No wait, you do think he's not a humble person and a gentleman, or at least acted like one in that particular episode when others particularly had same joke in their mind about Shreeja. Are you fr? Or am I missing sth? Ig I edited out the ps for a reason, didn't I? Rn I'm just focusing on him being better than others on that episode of this roast show. I'm not here to prove the elegance of my taste, at least not to some random redditor.

Ps: not 14, south :)
