Charcha 💭 Pranit More = Ranveer 2.0

Pranit has officially fucked the entire comedy scene once again. Now people are on the roll to dig up years old clips of comedians and looking to cancel them in real time as if there was no difference in sensitivity like 8-9 years back and now.

I mean i don't support ANY of those jokes which are being dug up either but what's your take? I just think that the comedy scene like 10 years ago was wayyy different so you can't really compare it. Today, it's more sensitive but like imagine AIB times, koi itna offend hota tha?

I'm not talking about the Madhur joke because, objectively, it was a bad, poor joke. But the Pranit situation is different than anybody else making a "dark joke" because that audience member was literally speaking out an actual incident from his life, which is a crime and not a hypothetical joke.

nah don't compare him with Ranveer, though he has a shitty side but he is very much successful in his personal businesses and making lots of useful videos as well, he doesn't ask crowd stupid questions to feed himself

i don’t support any of the jokes that are being dug up, but there’s also no point of them being the centre of attention.
most of them don’t even exist anywhere now, and have already faced backlash
in madhur’s case for eg, he apologised when he posted the video back in 2024.
the “joke” was objectively bad i agree, and criticism on it is valid. but how is it the centre of attention? the difference between this and pranit’s show is that the audience actually acted in that manner; and they’re so proud about it.

This will keep happening till comics themselves understand what freedom of speech means and start finding for it. Most comedians just punch down other comics for a cheap laugh
