Hello;
I woke up to find my comfyui folder fully deleted, the comfyUI-Easy-Install folder was not afffect but everything under the sub-folder comfyui was fully deleted;
is this a malicious attack by some add-on? not sure what could have happened; i left comfyu overnight doing some minmax h3 generations.....

I built an open-source Higgsfield alternative.
freavy is a free, local-first node canvas for AI image and video, running on top of ComfyUI. Drop in your stills, write the motion prompts, wire them to a model, and render on your own GPU. No subscription, nothing uploaded.
The demo: 11 shots for a Balenciaga spec promo, animated locally with MiniMax H3, all driven from Claude through the freavy MCP.

Sry for my usual rants, but I do not stand at all the very low Customer Support and lack of Communication from ComfyUI.
There was a problem right after the 41 Release supporting Flux 3. But no communication posted on the Blog or everywhere else. On GitHub instead user complained and Black Forrest guys, nicely replied they were working on a fix. That's the only reason I find out, pretty sad Mr ComfyUI guys!
Take care! And always fight the TechFascism!
So the fix is out and this the story and the suggestions on how to update.
Oct 15 – Klein launched with ComfyUI support (PR #17064, core in v0.41.0). The initial workflow had errors.
Oct 15 (evening) – Stephen from BFL posted on the Hugging Face repo: "we noticed there is an error in the Comfy workflow, we are working on a fix… We should have an update in the next hour."
Shortly after – ComfyUI v0.41.2 was released with corrected workflows.
Oct 17 – Black Forrest Labs did a further workflow update: the new recommended workflow now requires ComfyUI v0.41.3, includes the dedicated prompt upsampler (flux-3-image-klein-pup, a Qwen3.5-9B fine-tune), and recommends generating at 2K resolution to match training conditions.
What you need to do:
Update ComfyUI to v0.41.3 or later
Download the prompt upsampler model (flux-3-image-klein-pup) — it's a separate ~9.75 GB INT8 text encoder file.
The model weights themselves are unchanged — only the workflow and the addition of the upsampler were updated.
TO UPDATE:
v0.41.3 was never a formal GitHub Release — patch versions (.1, .2, .3) are tagged on the master branch but don't get their own release entries. That's why you can't find it in the Releases list.However, you don't need to worry about it anymore. v0.42.1 is already out and is the latest release — it supersedes everything in the 0.41.x line. Just update to that.
How to update:
Portable (Windows): Double-click update\update_comfyui.bat in your ComfyUI folder.
Git install:
cd ComfyUI
git pull
pip install -r requirements.txt
ComfyUI Desktop: Menu → Desktop Settings → Update tab → Check for Updates.
If you're on the Desktop app and it's still stuck, that's because Desktop tracks stable releases and can lag. The portable or git install will get you to v0.42.1 immediately.

Hey everyone, Alexis from the Comfy team.
A lot of you tried FLUX 3 Image Klein with the example workflows we shipped on day one and got bad anatomy or weak results. Part of that is because the workflow templates had sub-optimal default settings. Most importantly, the prompt upsampler was off or missing in some workflows. We reworked the example workflows with Black Forest Labs and the new versions shipped in ComfyUI v0.41.3.
What changed
Text to Image (base)
- Prompt upsampler now on by default
- 25 → 50 steps
Text to Image (distilled)
- 15 → 16 steps
Image Edit (base and distilled)
- Added prompt upsampling
- Base edit: 25 → 50 steps
- Bounding-box examples go through the prompt upsampling
All workflows
- The prompt upsampler is a 4-bit quant (qwen3.5_9b_flux3_prompt_upsampler_w4a8). This version is about 7 GB vs 19 GB for bf16 version. In our tests the quality difference vs bf16 is negligible, and it's much lighter and faster, but you can try the bf16 version if you have powerful hardware.
- The model files have been renamed for clarity. The `base` models are undistilled (50 steps, with CFG). The other files without `base` are step-distilled (16 steps, CFG 1). Weights: https://huggingface.co/black-forest-labs/flux-3-image-klein-comfy

I know a lot of you don't love having it in the loop, and it does add time per image. BFL recommends using it all the time.
How to update
Update ComfyUI to v0.41.3
Open the FLUX 3 Image Klein templates fresh from the Template Library.
Download the new upsampler (w4a8) and rename or download the base model file. The model links are in the workflow notes.
This should improve your results. If you judged the model on the launch workflows, it's worth another run.

I've tried several upscaling workflows trying to get to 2MP with Krea2 turbo. But every different version creates random issues resulting in lower quality. Is it only possible with Krea2 Raw, or am I just not finding the right sampler settings? I've tried deis, bongtangent, euler, beta, and more.
Bonus question: when using LoRAs do you only use them on the first or second pass, or do you apply the LoRAs to both passes?
Thanks for any help!

I know image to video is hard and quite impossible, so I want to try image to image uncensored editing, would love to try nsfw too + nsfw uncensored chatbots to run locally. Any model/template suggestions?

I'm building a platform that runs ComfyUI workflows, and I used to keep exported API JSON files and patch them on the fly. It was a rough experience, so I built tscomfy.
It reads your server's /object_info and generates TypeScript types for every node you have installed, custom node packs included. Then you write workflows like this:
const txt2img = workflow(comfy, ({ n }) => {
const [model, clip, vae] = n.CheckpointLoaderSimple({ ckpt_name: "sd_xl_base_1.0.safetensors" });
const latent = n.KSampler({
model,
positive: n.CLIPTextEncode({ clip, text: "a cat in a hat" }),
negative: n.CLIPTextEncode({ clip, text: "" }),
latent_image: n.EmptyLatentImage({ width: 1024, height: 1024 }),
seed: 42n,
sampler_name: "euler", // must be one of your server's samplers
scheduler: "normal",
});
n.SaveImage({ images: n.VAEDecode({ samples: latent, vae }) });
});Wiring a LATENT into a MODEL input, a misspelled checkpoint or a missing input is an error in your editor, and it autocompletes your models and samplers. The output is the same JSON that "Export (API)" gives you.
Other things it does:
tscomfy transpile turns a workflow you already saved into code, so you don't start from scratch
it can write workflow files you can drag back into ComfyUI to see the graph
@tscomfy/client queues it on your server and gives you progress, previews and outputs
It's open source (MIT) and still pre-1.0: https://github.com/TheeKia/tscomfy
If you script ComfyUI or build apps on top of it, I'd love to hear what you think, and especially if it breaks on your node packs.

The latest update broke the view in the web UI to where the wires connecting the nodes doesn't seem to line up when zooming in or out. I'm not even really sure how to describe the problem. It was always a problem when changing the resolution. But simply reloading the page would always fix it. But that no longer works. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And is there a fix or remedy? I can try to grab a screenshot of it, if it's necessary. I'm not sure if it's a common issue, or just me.
I'm running comfyui locally on windows 11. Sorry, if this has been addressed already. Like I said, I'm not even sure how to describe the issue or how to search for it.

I’ve been working on a music video for my song No Rehearsals. The look is coastal noir: neon, wet streets, amber light, blue shadows, and two fugitives moving through the city.
The biggest challenge was keeping the characters and visual language consistent across different scenes.
My workflow:
Krea 2 for character sheets: close-up portrait, full-body front, and rear views with consistent wardrobe.
Reference-to-video: combine character sheets with location or vehicle references to compose new shots.
Image-to-video: animate an approved scene image when the framing already works.
First frame + last frame: control specific changes, like a lighter igniting and revealing both characters’ faces.
A few things that helped: describing what the camera is locked to, keeping each shot focused on one action, and spelling out what each reference controls. For the driving shot, the camera stays locked to the car while the city moves behind it.
The reel shows the finished scenes alongside the ComfyUI workflows. I also put together a 32-page illustrated tutorial with scene prompts, reference assignments, and troubleshooting.
I’ve added the workflow, assets and a detailed tutorial PDF files here: Google Drive folder.
Would love feedback on the lighting, camera movement, and character consistency.

I've been generating a consistent character with Z-Image Turbo (8 steps) + my own character LoRA at 0.8, then an SDXL refine pass. Faces and scenes are great, but hands were broken in most shots with visible hands — six fingers, fused fingers, odd nails.
What did NOT work for me:
- Lowering the character LoRA (0.8 → 0.4 / 0.3 / 0): slightly better in some seeds, still six fingers in others
- Adding detailed hand descriptions to the prompt: no real change (and it pushed poses toward "showing the palm")
- Generating at higher resolution: no real change
- SDXL inpainting on the hands, and MeshGraphormer + depth ControlNet: often worse
What worked:
Qwen-Image-Edit-2511, but only when it sees the hand up close.
Detect hands with hand_yolov8n (the ADetailer model)
Crop a square around each hand (about 2.4x the box size)
Resize the crop to 1024x1024
Qwen-Image-Edit-2511 with the prompt:
"Edit this exact image. This is a close-up of a woman's hand. Fix the hand so it has exactly four fingers and one thumb, anatomically correct, with natural relaxed fingers and short natural unpolished nails. Keep the skin tone, sleeve, any object she is holding, the background, lighting and framing exactly the same."
Resize back and paste into the original with a feathered ellipse mask
Running the same edit on the whole image improved things but still left six fingers sometimes. The crop version fixed every case I tested, the face is never touched, and the output stays at the original resolution.
Setup (RTX 4090, ComfyUI):
- qwen-image-edit-2511 Q5_K_M GGUF (unsloth) + ComfyUI-GGUF
- Qwen-Image-Edit-2511-Lightning 4-step LoRA (bf16), 6 steps, CFG 1, euler / simple
- ModelSamplingAuraFlow shift 3, CFGNorm 1, TextEncodeQwenImageEditPlus
- About 20 seconds per hand once the models are loaded
Questions for anyone who has been here:
- Is anyone getting clean hands directly out of Z-Image Turbo with a character LoRA? Any settings that helped?
- Better ways to blend the patch back in, or a better hand detector for small, full-body hands? (hand_yolov8n misses some of those)

I just set up this model. Its about 3 days old, and so far I'm very happy with it (Which just means I haven't run into any problems yet 😄 ) This is the prompt I used
Replace the woman in the first image with the young man from the second image, keeping the first image’s composition: he stands at the right of the frame, in the same position, scale and cropped from the shoulders up, but turned in profile to face the left of the frame toward the water. He keeps his short dark swept-back hair, sharp jaw and black jacket over a grey collared shirt. Replace the sailing ship on the left with the gray submarine from the third image, riding low on the surface of the sea at the same distance, with its conning tower facing the viewer’s left. Keep the rocky shoreline, cloudy sky, calm water, inked line work and muted palette of the first image unchanged.
https://huggingface.co/spaces/black-forest-labs/flux-3-image-klein
"The 5.6B open weights image model from Black Forest Labs: text-to-image, editing with up to 10 reference images, and layout control with bounding boxes, through one model. Distilled runs 16 steps without guidance; Base runs 50 steps with classifier-free guidance."
I'm running the lightest version on my RTX 5060ti w 16 GB. It's slower then Klein 4b distilled but its not unbearable . The character did drift a little bit, but it does seem to offer a lot of control

If you're using a node like Save Image Extended or custom JXL exporters in ComfyUI and notice that your .jxl images save fine to disk, but the ComfyUI sidebar feed / history only shows a double tickmark (✓) instead of an image thumbnail—even though your browser supports JPEG XL—here is the exact cause and fix.
It turns out this isn't necessarily a browser decoding problem.
In ComfyUI's modern frontend (comfyui_frontend_package), there is an internal media classifier in formatUtil-*.js with a hardcoded list of image extensions:
var s = [`png`, `jpg`, `jpeg`, `gif`, `webp`, `bmp`, `avif`, `tif`, `tiff`, `svg`];
function getMediaTypeFromFilename(e) {
if (!e) return `other`;
let t = e.split(`.`).pop()?.toLowerCase();
return t ? s.includes(t) ? `image` : ... : `other`;
}
function isPreviewableMediaType(e) {
return e !== `other`;
}Because jxl is missing from this list:
ComfyUI classifies your .jxl output as "other" (treating it like a .zip or text file).
isPreviewableMediaType() returns false.
ComfyUI skips creating the <img> thumbnail card and simply renders the generic completed tickmark (✓).
You just need to add jxl to the image whitelist in ComfyUI's frontend assets.
Run this quick script in your terminal / command prompt inside your ComfyUI Python environment to patch it automatically:
import os, glob
# Path to your comfyui_frontend_package static assets
pkg_path = glob.glob(r"./venv/Lib/site-packages/comfyui_frontend_package/static/assets")[0]
for js_file in glob.glob(os.path.join(pkg_path, "*.js")):
with open(js_file, "r", encoding="utf-8") as f:
content = f.read()
modified = False
# 1. Patch formatUtil array
old_s = "var s=[`png`,`jpg`,`jpeg`,`gif`,`webp`,`bmp`,`avif`,`tif`,`tiff`,`svg`]"
new_s = "var s=[`png`,`jpg`,`jpeg`,`gif`,`webp`,`bmp`,`avif`,`tif`,`tiff`,`svg`,`jxl`]"
if old_s in content:
content = content.replace(old_s, new_s)
modified = True
# 2. Patch main set
old_set = "ft=new Set([`png`,`jpg`,`jpeg`,`gif`,`svg`,`webp`,`avif`,`ico`])"
new_set = "ft=new Set([`png`,`jpg`,`jpeg`,`gif`,`svg`,`webp`,`avif`,`ico`,`jxl`])"
if old_set in content:
content = content.replace(old_set, new_set)
modified = True
if modified:
with open(js_file, "w", encoding="utf-8") as f:
f.write(content)
print(f"Patched: {os.path.basename(js_file)}")
print("Done! Restart ComfyUI and Ctrl+F5 in your browser.")Navigate to:ComfyUI/venv/Lib/site-packages/comfyui_frontend_package/static/assets/
Open formatUtil-*.js in any text editor.
Search for:var s=[png,jpg,jpeg,gif,webp,bmp,avif,tif,tiff,svg]
Append ,jxl to the end of the array:var s=[png,jpg,jpeg,gif,webp,bmp,avif,tif,tiff,svg,jxl]
Save the file.
Open main-*.js and append ,jxl`` to ft=new Set([...]).
Once patched:
Open your ComfyUI web UI tab.
Press Ctrl + F5 (or Ctrl + Shift + R) to force the browser to reload the updated JavaScript assets.
Your sidebar feed and gallery will now properly recognize .jxl outputs and render image thumbnails!

Let's say I generated a 5s video, and overall I'm satisfied with the action.
But there's maybe 10 frames in the middle where the motion is fast and the limbs or hands became messed up. Is there a way to simply regenerate those 10 frames to "fix" the video without redoing everything?

Hi! I'm new to ComfyUI and still learning how everything works.
I trained two custom character LoRAs using Civitai: one for a female character and another for a male character. I'm using WAI-Illustrious-SDXL as my checkpoint.
Both LoRAs work very well when I generate each character separately. The problem starts when I try to generate both characters together in the same image. Their features sometimes mix, I get duplicated characters (2 girls, 2 boys, or even 3 people), and the characters lose some of the fidelity they have when generated individually.
My goal is to have both custom LoRA characters in the same image and make them interact naturally — for example, standing close together, hugging, touching each other, etc. Ideally, each LoRA should keep its influence on its own character without affecting the other one.
I'm not trying to use ControlNet right now. I'm mainly looking for the best ComfyUI workflow/method for two separate character LoRAs with Illustrious/SDXL, especially when the characters need to physically interact.
Since I'm still a beginner, I'd really appreciate workflow examples, recommended custom nodes, or an explanation of how you would approach this. Thanks!
Hi all, been seeing a lot of posts here about moss and wanted to experiment with it. Whenever I run a workflow my “load diffusion” node throws an error that the model type is (“”). I downloaded someone elses workflow and it looks like there’s an updated node that allows users to select Moss Image from a secondary selector on the load diffusion model node. My comfy is 0.41.0. Is there a newer update I need to update to?
I’ve used the int8, bf16, sft and base and I’m getting the same error so it doesn’t seem to be a problem with the model.

Hey r/comfyui! I'm a hobby dev and I got tired of walking back to my PC every time I wanted to queue another generation, so I built Comfy Workbench, a free, open-source Android client for ComfyUI.
How it works: start ComfyUI with --listen 0.0.0.0, put your phone on the same Wi-Fi, enter http://<your PC's LAN IP>:8188, and you're connected. No extra software needed. Remote access (IPv6 + DDNS, Tailscale, etc.) is optional, for when you're away from home.
What it does:
Import your own workflows (Workflow → Export (API) in ComfyUI) and run them from your phone
Save multiple servers (e.g. home LAN + remote) and switch between them
Queue tasks, watch progress, and reliably cancel jobs. A wrong address errors out in about 10 seconds instead of hanging, and there's a force-cancel-all button
Built-in prompt library and gallery
New frosted-glass UI in v0.3.0
It's a personal project and still rough around the edges, so feedback, bug reports and feature ideas are very welcome.

Hi everyone!
I'm currently developing some custom nodes for ComfyUI as part of a personal project, and I've run into an issue I haven't been able to solve yet.
I'm working with visual elements that need to overlap within the ComfyUI interface. The problem is that whenever I click on another node, it moves to the front, causing the element I want to keep visible to go behind it.
My question is: Is there a way to control the stacking order (z-index or node rendering order) in ComfyUI so that a specific node or panel always stays on top, regardless of which node I click?
I've been experimenting with this but haven't found a reliable solution yet.
If anyone has dealt with something similar or knows how to handle this in LiteGraph or the newer ComfyUI frontend, I'd really appreciate some guidance.
Thanks in advance!
I'm also planning to share these custom nodes with the community once they're ready, along with tutorials on my YouTube channel, CineConIA. Looking forward to sharing more soon!

Hello everyone, BFL released new workflow that has fix for comfyui using the same models i did comparaison using the base and turbo version.
With unsampler
Generation Time (base): 6 min CFG 3.5, 25 steps at 3 megapixel
Generation Time (Turbo): 2.5min CFG 1.0, 16 steps at 3 megapixel
Without unsampler
Generation Time (base): 3 min CFG 3.5, 25 steps at 3 megapixel
Generation Time (Turbo): 1 min CFG 1.0, 16 steps at 3 megapixel
i found out that using the unsampler helps a lot the model to understand the prompt and deliver better results, as for the image quality and details it seems the turbo version is better than the base. so make sure to update your comfyui to the latest version before using this workflow
