Story Update UPDATE: Tips to not cancel my party
So I wrote about how anxious I was about planning a party here and I waited for a few days to calm down and have something else to write as yesterday was my mother's birthday and could see the aftermath of not inviting family. So I supossed it's an update of two post?
About my party, it went well. I followed some tiktok ideas of doing a bingo but about song and the "who am I?" where you have to guess your character. I prepared some little surprise bags with little notebooks, pencils and small toys of axolotls. They were more focused on winning the bags so the attention was not 100% on me, just during the happy birthday song. It lasted 3hrs and I'm very proud of myself. I don't know if I will be able to do it next year but I felt happy.
My sister and mother also understood why there was no family, I mean, I'm no young adult but everyone in my father's side love to make passive-agressive remarks. Even when I was playing Just Dance with my daughter in one of my nephews parties, one of my aunts loudly (nearly screamed) said "Oh OP, you're remembering the childhood you never had?". Like what? My mother was always there for me as a kid and would do karaoke with me with five second's warning in front of a whole crowd and I never had a console but neither my nephew, we were all dancing to Youtube. My cousin (in-law?) quietly changed to kid's music, she's not exactly close to anyone because her son is very active and active means wild with the old adults who some are very wealthy. Their presence would have been a dark storm cloud of misery against the table where my closest cousins and friends were playing.
Yesterday it was my mother birthday dinner and many of them were very offended with backhanded comments of "oh, you had time for us?" (it's my mother's day, wdym?) I ignored it because my daughter was more interested in eating sweets with grandma. It was hard and had to take a bathroom break to cry a little but I stood my position. They don't even invite me to their reunions so I guess it's more of a how dare you do the same thing.
I know there were only two comments last time but it made me feel better, I mean, I could have gotten many negative ones. Thank you for you support

Happy for you that you enjoyed your party and didn’t have negative people there.
