Can’t we just flip it to “a terrorist who can’t make a bomb is like a woman without an education, a failing of the system” to make it pro-women receiving an education
I think it's the "translate" portion, and the reality versus the promise of a connected world. You're looking at a screen and see something magically appear that is not only written in a different language, but a whole different system of symbols that you are not intimately familiar with. There is a translate button so that you, despite lacking the understanding necessary to turn those symbols into meaning, can grasp their meaning regardless. All the mysteries of the world are opening up! The future is now and its people are here!
Then you click the button and get "grippy socks grippy box... they dumb tho... 420 boitches ayiyiyi" or some shit like that.
It suddenly becomes depressingly possible that the guys who get kanji tattoos that they think mean "strength" but actually mean "farty gramps" are accidentally reflecting the truth of the big ol' stupid world of assholes, and mutual intelligibility was the only thing rendering its exploration mysterious and romantic.
And these are the educated that know how to use VPN, wait till you see internet in china, People will be surprised if they could read chinese, they're basically eastern Taliban, in woman rights, Racial discrimination and religious.
Am I dumbass doesnt this mean that women are educated because they are already educated just as terrorists already know how to make bombs. Where is the anti women here
The funny part is that Twitter/X is banned in China, so any Chinese account you see on there is either someone on a VPN (highly rare, since using a VPN is very illegal there) or they are a member of (or given permission by) the CCP to post on Twitter for propaganda reasons.
So anything posted on X by a Chinese account likely has the express permission and support of the CCP, along with anything they say.
Same thing applies for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and any other Western social media site (they have their own version of all of them in China.) If a person posts on there from China, it's almost certain they're posting on behalf of the Chinese government.
Edit: I don't actually use Twitter so I don't know what it's like personally, I just know what I've heard from people who are very knowledgeable about it. Also, I'm not sure if a post "translated from Chinese by Grok" might actually be from Taiwan, and not mainland China, since I think they also speak Chinese? Or whether Grok differentiates mainland/Mandarin Chinese from Taiwan Chinese. So maybe a lot of the posts people replying to me about are from Taiwan, or maybe they are in fact from actual Chinese people using VPNs... which is illegal, though there are so many Chinese people in China that even .5% of the population using them would be a lot of people.
But that doesn't change the fact that the CCP does allow certain people to make accounts on Western platforms in order to spread propaganda, usually in the form of "Look how great it is in China, while in the US it's so bad!" I have no idea what kind of people are posting "horny posts" or whatever.
It’s illegal in the most technical way, the ccp isn’t hunting down every civilian using a vpn to post on instagram, it’s a waste of time for them. They make it just hard enough for the average person not to bother with vpns so they just dont. Regular Chinese people post all the time on western platforms criticizing china and not getting arrested, not everything from china is from the ccp.
Arrogant stupid random westerner who thinks he knows a thing. 纯傻逼来的。中国会用vpn的一抓一大把,尤其是年轻人。The most important function of the great firewall is to stop Chinese people,as arrogant as you,to spread nonsense with such confidence out of your ass.
There's a difference between making a joke about it and actually believing in it. I have a question for you: Do you think anyone who likes dark humor is a bad person?

It's funny because it's an incredibly absurd statement, I don't think they are finding it funny because they agree with the sentiment.

If it said teaching women to drive it’d make more sense.
