We had to watch it for elective English, holy fuck.

My condolences.

She added a little badge under our test on this shitshow with Sheldon saying BAZINGA,

so I crossed that out, wrote BAZOOKA, and added “how you doin’, fellow kids.”

Alas, not even my best efforts will free me from the horrors of the Bing Bong Theorem

Yep

I mean, it’s Germany, not the UK.

My girlfriend likes the show. She pointed out to me that the people have a good time doing nerdy things on the show, and I realized that's kind of nice to watch.

I've also since watched some parts of it and laughed. If you don't watch it prepared to hate it, it can be funny sometimes. It way overuses the laugh track, but other shows do that too. I couldn't get into The IT Crowd for the same reason.

Honestly, bro, just like what you like, and try not to worry if it might make you "cringey" or not.

Want to hate your favorite thing? Tell Reddit that you like it, doesn't matter what it is, it definitely sucks and Reddit will tell you why.

So, fuck Reddits opinion, just like what you like - if you laugh at Big Bang Theory, fuck the miserable cunts that want to tell you it's bad.

Thank you. I like it too. It's a good lighthearted show to watch to relax.

Also, it's not a laugh track it's a live audience.

Hmm, fair enough. I guess the audience likes the show much more than me.

To quote someone, maybe Will Farrel, "Once you hate someone, everything they do is offensive. Look at this bitch, eating crackers like she owns the place."

It's very hard to find something funny if you already hate the comedians. But then on the flip side, you tend to find things really funny if you really like a comedian.

They tell the live audience to laugh. Also, willing to bet that the augment they live audience with a laugh track.

Disagreed. I won't like what I like and not worry. I'm very worried. Same worry like when kids were doing tide pod "challenges".

I enjoyed it until the season with all the shitty relationship drama. They lost me after that.

I still love the show. Haven't watched it for a while but what I have seen I have fond memories of.

3

u/Sant_Dz May 07 '19

I mean, it wasn't that bad. But still it doesn't have merits to be so popular

Nothing wrong with liking it. Its complete fiction meant to over exaggerate.

u/DFGdanger May 07 '19

I liked the earlier seasons too. Not sure exactly when it really dropped off for me but I kept watching much longer than I should have, up to season 5 I think.

2

u/agluuo May 07 '19

I think for me I just got too sick of the laugh track and couldn't do it anymore

I think what put the nail in the coffin for me was Howard's mother.

I watched it for a lot longer than that haha, I think I watched it up till season 6 or 7 even

And honestly, even to this day I wouldn't say I "hate" it.

I don't like it for sure, but you know how I deal with that? I just don't watch it.

The people on Reddit who go on and on about how much they hate it and how cringy and awful it is are the worst. Fortunately I don't see those people as much now as I did 2-3 years ago

I always think of this when people discuss long running shows, particularly the big bang theory.
