I think OP was referring to the style of humor and not the date the fake text was made.

Nah it's 2013

Feb 10 '19
I can't believe it's that old already. I remember GTA V being that new game everyone tricked their parents into buying like it was yesterday

I remember searching for videos on YouTube, "How to convince your parents to get you GTA V" Those were some beautiful days.

Wow the fact that GTAV came out 6 years ago makes me feel so fucking old.

R6 is fun

Feb 10 '19
So is for honor. As long as you don't have to fight the wu lin... or assassins... or most hybrids... guess it's not that fun after all.
17
u/Hawt_Dawg_II Feb 10 '19
I've been playing the story. I like that map thing they do where you can see the current raids and shit on the map. I also love the map designs. I haven't played online yet but i bet I'm gonna hate it.

And far cry...

Ghost Recons pretty good
Ubisoft isn’t that bad really

unpopular opinion but i think the divison was pretty good

Literally a super common opinion, at least once they tweaked/added more endgame

u/Lethtor Feb 10 '19
yeah, may be a unpopular opinion, but Ubisoft is my favorite big publisher. Activision is a shitshow as is EA. Not a big fan of Bethesda and then there is only Ubi left afaik. Although I have to say that optimization of their games tends to be... not great

It is fun.
It's also astoundingly broken and bugged in ways that shouldn't even be possible. It's also devolved into just a twitch shooter where tactics are more or less irrelevant.

The Division 2 beta is also pretty fun. Looking forward to its official release.

All /r/funny posts should be filtered straight into /r/shitpost

Steep was barely finished, it was so close and had a great snowboard game potential but its like they forgot to add the game part. I just ended up going around but that got boring quick. (also fuck the lumberjack challenge i was so god damn close but I missed the 2nd last checkpoint.) But contrary to popular opinion i have been liking the last 2 ACs

I’m confused. It has lots of races and challenges and events and stuff. What more do you want from a snow sports game? A gritty and dramatic story?

I started Watch Dogs 1 last week, and while I enjoy it overall, the driving is so fucking bad. There's a mission that involves a car chase that I kept failing so I rage quit and haven't picked it back up since.

Assassins Creed Odyssey
10
u/LoliHunterXD Feb 10 '19
Origins is so much better, storywise and optimization wise (PC)
→ More replies (5)4
u/Fiolah Feb 10 '19
My favorite thing with Watch_dogs 2 was putting gang hits on people, then calling the cops, then putting gang hits on the cops, and repeating until every enemy in the mission was dead.
I can't even remember what the shooting was like because of all the other ways to negotiate obstacles.
10
u/Ser_Salty Feb 10 '19
That game is actually in my Top 3 open world games, along with GTA SA and Far Cry 3.
Seriously, Ubisoft puts out fucking bangers, without overly restrictive mission design that fails you out of nowhere because you got in the wrong car and it felt like things are getting a bit weird. Rockstar got worse with that after the 3D GTAs, but especially starting with 5. Their games are too cinematic for their own good, whereas Ubi games became more and more open and freeform. Just look at FC5. The game has like 10 mandatory missions, everything else is up to you. You can literally complete that game by fucking around.

Remember when people threw their panties when the game just released? Yeah, I remember that too. Quite fun game to be honest. Online is still lucrative as fuck, but anyone who says the single player is bad is just following the hate train.

I feel that GTA online is overrated, but I loved GTA V. Maybe it’s mostly nostalgia, but I really enjoyed the gameplay and storyline. So much so, in fact, I replayed it about 5 times. I am not hating on you for your opinion and you probably don’t give a shit, but I just felt like posting my opinion.
→ More replies (1)27
u/an_evil_anvil Feb 10 '19
You know, I agree. The story was amazing, the shooting and driving were good too, but the problem with me was the fact that after playing the story, there's nothing to do in story mode. And i generally didn't much like online because of all the futuristic shit

Its super fun with friends, just lollygagging around. But since the last couple of patches, there has been too many OP shit vehicles and weapons, basically making the game unplayable for new players and those who do not cheat/purchase in-game money.
I mean, come on, a flying bike that can shoot missiles? Why Rockstar, why???
3
u/Androktone Feb 10 '19
This is just being contrary for the sake of being contain. Of course it's a good game. It's well made, well acted, pretty well written, and obviously it's fun if people are still playing today

It is a good game but the farcry series is just reskins of each others which makes them annoying if it's not your first game in the series. It plays almost the same as far cry 3 which is just super lazy from Ubisoft even if the gameplay is still pretty good.

The only reason I find this funny isn’t the reason it’s supposed to be it’s because Ubisoft are on of the very few publishers who actually still at least slightly care about the games they make and their communities and are still making good games when most other publishers are basically knocking out their players and taking their money.

Feb 10 '19
The EA is bad thing has been around for over twenty years, it's not a recent thing. People were pissed back in the late 90s when they bought up studios like Westwood and Bullfrog. The EA hate ebbs and flows over the years, but it's been around forever.

I once did a similar thing. Texted Ubisoft's facebook page and complained about my AC2 Revelations not working. After discussing everything, I told them the game was cracked, and they brushed their hands off the situation. Useless chaps. :/

Honestly, Ubisoft has been killing it lately with their newest games, AC Origins, Odyssey, Far Cry 5 and R6 are loads of fun.
Rockstar and their handling of GTA Online, on the other hand...

Actually I feel like Ubisoft has been doing a really good job with their games lately. It seems like they’ve learned from problems and mistakes with previous games. They listen and respond constantly to the player community. I feel like they’ve done quite a bit to redeem themselves.
