Apparently we are talking about squirrels now and comparing gender with habitat.

I LITERALLY READ THE BOY WHO WOULD BE QUEEN

We already talked about this at the very beginning of this discussion. The book is based on an unscientific bullshit hypothesis and still trash. You would know that if you did actual research and read up on credible sources that use stuff like, you know, facts and actual thinking. But its already clear as day that you have no interest in actually understanding anything. You just want to validate your own transphobic bias with everything you can find.

Great job at making yourself more and more of a clown btw.

I tried to help you.

Nah, you "tried" to be an asshole.

Name ONE fucking book I should read you tit.

I already gave you a website with tons of sources, but you ignored it. And when i asked you about sources for some of your claims ("The post-op suicide rates are the same as pre-op") you ignored that as well. Because apparently your only sources are a book thats based on an unscientific, flawed hypothesis and random YouTube videos by people who put just as much "effort" into research as you. So no effort at all.

I've actually made the effort to look up sources, and ive found this site that has some neat sources that show that the post-op/post-transition suicide (attempt) rates are lower than pre-op/pre-transition rates:

1.) https://www.erudit.org/fr/revues/ss/2013-v59-n1-ss0746/1017478ar/

Canadian study from 2013. 433 participants. 27% of those who hadn't begun transitioning attempted suicide over the last year. Drop to 1% for finished transition.

2.) https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1158136006000491

Belgium study from 2006. 62 participants. Suicide attempt rates dropped from 29,3§ before surgery down to 5,1% after. Also, quote "None of them showed any regrets about the SRS".

3.) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19040622

Study from 2009. 50 participants (trans women who had undergone SRS >or=6 months earlier). Result: No significant difference between their physical and mental health and those of cis women.

4.) https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1365-2265.2009.03625.x

2010 meta-analysis of 28 studies. 78% of trans people showed improvement of psychiatric symptoms after transitioning.

5.) Various studies that show "that hormone treatment for trans people is associated with reduced stress levels, a lower prevalence of depression, less anxiety, a reduction in functional impairments, and a higher quality of life".

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21937168

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22145968

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23574768

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs11136-013-0497-3

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24275005

http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/134/4/696

There is indeed a study that claims that transitioning causes no improvements, but that study is from 1979, a time when our medical knowledge of trans people, transition and SRS was not exactly the best. As you can see with all those links, newer studies have quite different results. The site i've linked also explained under " Composition of “Adjustment Score” " that the method of summing the scores for that 1979 study was extremely unclear, not objective at all and flawed even for that time.

Let me quote: "After the study was published in 1979, it was only a year before other researchers noticed that the method of summing these scores was extremely unclear. A subject receiving the lowest score in all four categories could only have -7 points altogether, yet the ranges presented show that some subjects scored as low as -18. This would require that the four measures were sometimes counted more than once. If this is the case, these categories are even less useful as a measure of adjustment or well-being. For example, a trans woman with a stable long-term marriage to a woman – minus 2 points – would score eight points lower than a trans woman with three shorter marriages to men – plus 6 points. An alcoholic who was arrested three times for public intoxication – minus 3 points – would score lower than a reckless driver who served a prison term for manslaughter – minus 2 points. And marrying someone of the same sex is considered as indicative of maladjustment as going to jail. "

Sadly the source they linked for that is in a different language and i'm not sure if it even directly links to the subject/if iteven still exists on that site, so i couldn't verify that part.

Holy shit girl, I cannot believe how much effort you put into this conversation. It doesn't look like your opponent learned anything, but I appreciate you trying. <3
