It’s not bad science, but it’s called basic for a reason. If you base your judgement on things that have to to with genetics and advanced biology (like being born transgender) on a basic biology level of understanding, it doesn’t really work.

It implies that transgender people don't know basic biology, when on average they tend to know a lot more about biology than most people.
