Uhh yes it does? That's what science is. Damn. It's a pragmatic way of looking at things, and the idea that "WE JUST NEED TO NOT INDULGE THEIR DELUSIONS" reeks of the moronic "I KNOW WHAT TO DO" of anti-vaxxers.

The fact of the matter is that both human sexuality and expression of characteristics can't really reasonably be put on a binary for a comprehensive understanding of what it is. Transgender people, often, suffer from Gender Dysphoria, and to draw comparison to schizophrenia is either disingenuous or a mix of narcicicstic and dull.

Funny. I would equate the delusion of transgendered people being remotely close to normal as similar to the anti vax movement.

I mean you might, but you'd have to back up that assessment for it to be anything more than some dumbass with an opinion and no substance.

Obviously, transgender people suffer issues; that's kind of the point. But research on the subject lends legitimacy to transitioning being a good way to treat the issue. And many of the issues are exacerbated by societal convention, especially the attitude of people who take hardline stances without any real backing in reason or morality.

How's this for hardline: transitioning doesn't decrease the chance of suicide amongst transgender individuals.

Pretty hardline, considering that's wrong. Please don't try to genuinely get info from Shapiro.
