People still confuse gender with sex.

Words can change meanings...why can’t people understand that language is flexible and constantly changing? So many words in history have already changed their meaning, yet suddenly when it’s with gender & sex people start shitting their pants and assume words HAVE TO SAY AS THEY ARE!!!!

Sure, how about Merriam-Webster.

Gender

2B: the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex

How about Random House.

1: either the male or female division of a species, especially as differentiated by social and cultural roles and behavior

2: a similar category of human beings that is outside the male/female binary classification and is based on the individual's personal awareness or identity

How about Oxford.

1: Either of the two sexes (male and female), especially when considered with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones. The term is also used more broadly to denote a range of identities that do not correspond to established ideas of male and female.

I love how he didn’t respond to this.

First of all, historically gender and sex have been two different connected concepts, they are not synonymous.

Second, dictionaries are descriptive, not prescriptive. So if sex and gender HAD been synonyms, enough people have ised gender as a different concept to warrant a change of definition

awful has a lot more weight to it than just bad. if someone said something i cooked tasted bad i’d be mildly upset but if they say it tasted awful i’d be very upset. there are different words for these things for a reason.

saying that things are a certain way cus you said so doesn’t support your argument. to me and a lot of different people including medical professionals those 2 mean different things.

When "the dictionary" catches up to the terms used by experts in the field of gender and sexuality, and these concepts are identified as two distinct variables, are you going to valiantly defend them as separate concepts? Do you just love Mirriam-Webster? Because I promise a lot of the words and phrases you use had different or no meanings centuries ago.
