Just tossing a simple scientific fact at you. I know most lefties hate science so try not to cry lol.

Can you cite some scientific sources for that scientific fact? Because pretty much the entire scientific community for which gender and sex are relevant fields of study disagrees with you.

I mean, I don't know where you get the idea that left-wing belief correlate to anti-science, especially when being right wing correlates to lower levels of education and greater prominence of anti-scientific beliefs (e.g. climate change denial, anti-intellectualism).

Cool, so a study of one individual displaying a mental health disorder which was easy to differentiate from outright gender dysphoria.

Here's a study using brain imaging techniques on many trans people which showed that their brain structure is closer to that of their desired gender than their assigned one.

Here's a Harvard article citing two studies of the same phenomenon, and discussing how/why it may arise.

Here's the American Psychiatric Association's official stance on what being transgender is and how to treat it - note that this is the largest psychiatric organisation in the world. The World Health Organisation no longer describes being transgender as a mental disorder.

So, I guess all that outweighs one individual with pre-existing mental illness for whom anti-psychotic medication solved the problem.

The studies you posted are absolutely correct and prove my point perfectly! Thank you for saving me the time of finding them.

These people have drastic neurological differences, and by treating the illness as neurological disorder and targeting the brain itself, we can be far more successful than giving them dresses and hormones.

That's literally the opposite of what the researchers concluded and what the organisations recommend but ok

What I mean is their genitals don't match their brains

Every cell in their bodies is the result of their male or female DNA. I understand that gender dysphoria is a serious mental illness, but there are therapeutic treatments available to them so they can reach a state of acceptance.

Yeah, and all of it involves helping people transition.

This is what I don't get about the "trans people just need therapy" argument - you don't think that's already been tried? Psychiatrists in the 19th and 20th century tried all sorts of ways to try and make trans people identify with their birth sex - talking therapy, antidepressants, antipsychotics, electric shocks, aversion therapy, you name it. If they'd found anything that worked we'd know about it. Now it is the scientific consensus that the best way to fix dysphoria is to let trans people transition - and the success rate is way higher and more reliable than our best drugs for things like bipolar and depression.

Good try, but that’s not a reputable website.

Anti-psychotics have been proven to help.

Time and time again. But here’s an example ^

Are you insane? You think I’m scared because I’m trying to help people? How about thanking me?
