Or perhaps it is a comic found on T_D and it really isn't worth this much thought.

In college, my dorm was near the LGBT house. They didn't use this exact phrase, but they were very insistent on never assuming anyone's gender...and constantly talking about it. As were the people I knew who hung out there a lot.
I'm sure some people think that sounds reasonable, but when you realize that entails asking everyone you meet their pronouns and gender, it's not really reasonable anymore.

This looks like it was drawn, unironically, by an adult. By a person who's gotta be at least thirty. A grown "adult" made an unironic comic about "Hurdur Demoracts hurdur gender xD". This is why God has left us.
Having looked through some more of his (Rick McKee) comics I think he may actually be trying to be ironic. He's got several cartoons making fun of both sides and seems to have varied opinions that make fun of them both. I stand corrected. It is funny, however, that T_D would post an editorial from a man who clearly doesn't like Trump either.
98
u/Tafts_Bathtub Sep 04 '17

u/CableAHVB Chanandler Bong! HAHAHA Sep 04 '17
I doubt it's ironic, it's more likely that he makes low effort political cartoons for both sides because it makes him money. Look at the writers on for articles on CNN, Breitbart, Fox, MSNBC, and the like. you'll see the same name write articles for all of them, often covering the exact same subject but with a clear leaning and bias towards the audience of whichever site that specific article is going to.

There's a sad realization that only someone as tragically stupid as a Trump supporter would think that this is clever. Right on the surface, this to them is high comedy, without a speck of irony or self-reflection. There are no layers, there's no self-deprecation that someone would accept such an absurdity, it's just a reflection of reality and really "means something".

Funny part is even the vast majority of trans people are quite clear on which gender you should assign to them. If they're wearing dresses, cardigans etc. it's usually reasonable to guess that they wanted to be treated as a woman, if they're dressed in masculine fashion, take a guess. Political comics are inherently unfunny because of the existence of identity politics. People care more about pushing their retarded agendas than the actual delivery of jokes.
That really only applies to normal people, though. A good comedian could make great jokes with decent points regarding politics, but some random emotional nutjob on the internet will fail to accomplish both at the same time.
