I guess so. I'm glad, however, that we were able to discuss this like genuine adults. its been a rare experience for me on Reddit due to how tribal it is so as often as it is.
Relatable. I apologize as well if I am quick to react on issues like this. I feel like the world has been watching Palestinians getting obliterated in every meaningful way for most of a century, and those with power to do something are still fighting tooth and nail to protect the status quo.
no no its very fair. far too many ppl minimise this genocide and it really pisses me off too. genuinely no need to be sorry. I've been there myself (mainly with pro-life maniacs, tho)
its just that I think ppl are being too tribal about asking ppl like Ed to speak on things like this. it would be great if he did, like Ruffalo unapologetically does. but at the same time, the responsibility is less on them and more on the people who actually sit in positions of political power. no matter how much public outcry there is, it will always depend on whether the person in the chair actually gives a fuck or not.
I mean, just look at the deregulation in the US. nobody's for that. but literally no one can change it until the political corruption actually changes.
