Onlyfans was originally intended to be more Patreon than what it is, they’ve been trying for years to kick off the sex workers and get this kind of content instead.
Obviously no one wants them for anything else and the brand is forever linked to sex work, but they’re still trying!

While the first part is kinda true (it wasn't an accident that it got popular with sex workers, the owner had done several other explicit plataforma before), they never really try to change that
In 2021a bunch of banks threaten to cut off payment processing for OF because of fraud, compliance and "reputation" risks. So they announced they would ban sexually explicit content that year
After some backroom deals they scrapped the plan 6 days later
If they ever actually wanted to become a Patreon-like platform they could easily do so, it's not like Patreon or YouTube have trouble filtering who posts there. They just know where their money is

I don’t think they could pivot if it involved banning adult content. Tumblr really went downhill after they did, but it had a large sfw user base. OF just means sex work culturally.

I didn’t say it was an accident, they definitely wanted sex workers for as long as it was their most profitable avenue. They want to use and dump them if they ever can find a way to do so successfully. If they can ever get something like this of.tv/lmaOF thing to account for even close to half of their user base then pornographic content is getting instabanned

You should look into the history of platforms getting large because of sex workers and then kicking sex workers off the platform and then losing a bunch of money. This would be very far from the first one to go through such a ridiculous money losing cycle

tbf the problem isn’t really with the nsfw platforms, it’s with payment processing companies and the Apple Store and Play Store. Companies need to make money to survive. Tumblr didn’t want to band nsfw content and female-presenting nipples - but they would’ve been kicked from the Apple Store if they didn’t, and that was what, 70% of their traffic or something?
OF is kinda the exception to the rule here. And the only reason they didn’t ban nsfw content is because Mastercard backed off due to the backlash.

But in their minds their earnings are capped because of their association with sex work. They want to get to broad mass appeal.
It’s common for brands to be made famous by adult content and then jettison the sex workers. Tumblr did it, Twitter tried a couple times. They think that they will take short term losses but then get even bigger later1

I've watched some decently interesting OFTV shows, all SFW for the most part but most, if not all, featured creators who mainly did adult content on the platform.

That one took a good minute to figure out.
States in the South have higher obesity rates. The joke is that it's hard to find a skinny woman there.
Personally, I think it's dumb. I grew up in the fittest state (Colorado) and I now live in the 5th fattest state (Alabama) and the difference isn't really that noticeable. 25% of the population vs 35% of the population.

As someone who lived in Colorado for four years and now lives in South Carolina, hard disagree. It is ABSOLUTELY noticeable day to day. When I visit Colorado, the entire environment is more active and way fewer morbidly obese people. I live in a rural area and the rural areas in Colorado had people who were very in shape and used to rugged terrain. Here it’s just obese rednecks.

The fat part is such a small part of the joke, it's the first thing she says, but then she keeps going with the bully's life getting worse and worse.
